Then vote your conscience. With primaries there are more than two choices and in Virginia they are open, meaning you can vote for the candidate that represents you the best. Then you have the elections, if neither candidate represents your beliefs, you can vote to fire the incumbent who will only become more powerful as they rise through the ranks of seniority. There are always third party options and write ins, too. I don't believe in the illusion of choice with the two party system, either. I agree that voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil. But by not voting, you have given up the singular thing that makes politicians your servant, and therefore, your right to complain.

If those that didn't vote in the primaries, would; perhaps we wouldn't have elected the radicals on the left or right who had the big savvy money behind them. Let's face it, only radicals vote in primaries, and then we're left with the lessor of two evils. If you want to complain about big interest, that's fine, but if you don't vote for a candidate that is a) not the incumbent, or b) promises public campaign funding laws, then you have lost the right to complain about that, too.

Citizen's United was a awful ruling, but so was the PPACA ruling. If you don't like it, you have an opportunity to vote for those who are not an incumbent (status quo) or support public campaign financing.
