Personally? I think they are grabbing at straws. I'm sorry, I don't wish anything bad on anyone, but I really don't think this is going to end well at all.

Right now all they are thinking about is getting their daughter back home to them. They will grab at whatever straws need to be grabbed at to make sure that is done. I keep hoping and praying everyday that something comes to light. These parents are strong and will stop at nothing til they bring her back and I praise you on that!!! 2-4-1

Yeah, this would be the same Dr. Phil who was outraged, shocked and appalled that a guest had publicly mentioned Maj. Hasan's Islamic identity after the Fort hood shootings.

I think that anything that could possibly prevent this from happening to even 1 person..well,it's worth it..I will be working,so won't see the program...never have seen it,but if something good results-AT ALL-it will be positive.
Personall,I went on 2 searches..don't feel much hope for Morgan(too much time passed, too much rain fell, leaves falling..)but I pray for her parents, and hope the thug is captured before he hurts another parents' child!

The focus is to get as many viewers to watch for her whereabouts. The media broadcasts this on national television and hopefully someone will have seen her in some town, city and report it.

I have seen several pictures of Morgan on posters, in the papers on Television, no two pictures look like the same girl. I see blonde girls her age walking up and down the streets in the short skirts and boots and every time I see one I think is that Morgan? My point being that you can put a million pictures out there, even on Dr. Duma$$ show but the chances of anyone seeing her is slim. Dr. Phil will do nothing but dramatize the whole thing, and while it certainly is a sober situation, he is just trying to get the ratings.

It is quite obvious by alot of these comments as well as past comments on this horrible situation that you either don't have children or don't think it could ever happen to your or your child. As a parent I cannot even begin to imagine what this family is going thru and sure hope I never have to. But I can guarantee if it were one of my children I'd be doing the exact same thing. I'd be tossing fliers from the roof tops in NY city, I'd be out in the streets w/ a bull horn, there isn't anything I wouldn't do to try to find my child. I think they are doing a fantastic job and would hope any parent(s) would do the same! Granted it looks grim that she'll be found safe but as a parent, you never give up hope

Respected by anyone that doesn't know better. The man is a TV ratings wh0re, and all his "counseling" is calculated for audience appeal.

I hope the parents get some closure on this, but that bald used car salesman of pop psychiatry is just looking to boost his audience share.

Once again I have to ask, is there any evidence to rule out the possibility that Morgan arranged her own disappearance? I still find it incredibly strange for someone to think that they can find a ride home when home is a hundred miles away.

Actually, home was over 3 hours away if Morgan planned to retrieve her car from Harrisonburg (based on her father's comments that her car was left in Harrisonburg and not driven to Charlottesville.) I honestly do not want to think that she would have planned her own disappearance. It would be horrible to intentionally inflict such pain on ones family, but then, I am sure if she walked in the door unharmed, they would welcome her home with opened arms. Whatever the outcome, I hope it comes soon to give her parents, brother and other family members some relief from the agony they must feel every waking moment. If it gives them comfort to appear on shows such as Dr. Phil, who are we to question their actions?

You guys can talk all you want about ratings I'm talking about finding Morgan and if any of you had watched the show today you would have seen that this interview was short and to the point. I found out somethings that I was not aware of such as the fact that her mother said the purse that Morgan took with her to the concert was of the backpack variety so that she could dance freely with out leaving her purse in the chair. She also pointed out that it would have been hard to remove except in a struggle. Also I found out that her father found it very odd that she would search out a ride home when the whole plan was not to go home but to return to JMU that night. The phone call to her friends was verified and she did place text messages after making that call but they also lead police to a dead end. Dr. Phil encouraged the parents to hold on to hope but to take care of themselves and be prepared for the worse. The parents referred to this as a skeleton of hope but hope none the less and made an on air plea to let Morgan come home and if she could'nt to know that they will never give up looking. Who knows Morgan could have seen this and it could be a comfort to her. Ratings or no ratings so many people seen this today that would have never known Morgans name had it not been on the show. I still think it was a good thing and I hope Morgan comes home soon!

Morgan's parents are doing what they can to keep their daughter's story and picture before the public. I am sure the worse day of their lives is the day they realized Morgan was missing. The next worse day will be the day they turn on the radio or tv or pick-up a paper and do not see any mention of Morgan. With that will come the realization that she is fading from the short memory of the public.

29 reported at noon that the girl was hitchhiking.

CPD and UVA police have an epic fail on their hands by not getting word of this out the day they announced her missing.

I don't know when information became known to the authorities that Morgan might have been hitchhiking, and I doubt that anyone posting here knows either.
