What conflicts of interest would that be?

Is the BoS planning on having any votes on anal rape?

What a packaged statement and one typical of someone who knows law pretty well and is in the public eye. Basically, Chris is hiding out in Scottsville trying to avoid any public appearances hoping he will wake up or get pinched and all this is just a dream. Good luck buddy! I'm sure he will have his gf (if she is still that) or someone else run his errands and be in the scorn of the community because he himself is a coward. He is also forcing the board to vote or request him to step down because obviously him doing it on his own accord would be a sign of guilt.
For the victim, I feel bad for her but I hope this guy gets what is coming to him although we all know in the end this will get thrown out, evidence will be lacking or his lawyers will do what they get paid to do that is is bend any part of the law and lie to save their client and get paid a pretty pence.

i don't know him, or the "victim", however everyone is innocent until proven guilty. it is so easy for women to alledge something happened, when it is possible it did not. it's called investigation and in the end, the truth will come out. until then, he is innocent.

What if he didn't commit forcible sodomy? False allegations are made everyday. Why should he give up his seat for something he didn't do? What's sad is even if he didn't do it and he is found not guilty, does one ever recover from something like this?

He will recover, but his reputation most likely will not.

My usual quote to folks that men are pigs for the most part is true. Men are pigs. In this case however it will be interesting to see what transpires. Most times the perp resigns to the charges and takes his licks, but here we see someone who professes his innocence, which he is, until proven otherwise. I don't know the guy and could care less, he's a politician so thats one strike against him right there, but it ain't like women don't have an ulterior motive sometimes too.

1st of all, I'd like to say, I'm a woman.
I don't know Mr. Dumler or the alleged victim.
Who's to say he's guilty? Who's to say he's innocent? No one really knows what happened but Mr. Dumler and his alleged victim.
One of his stipulations for his bond was no alcohol. What if his alleged victim was drinking with Mr. Dumler? What if things got out of hand and there was consentual sex between the two?
Now the alleged victim is crying wolf?
Let the court system find out what really happened.
I think there's more to this deep, dark story that hasn't been released to the public. Wait for the details before you render a guilty verdict.
Women, be smart. Don't put yourself in a situation that you resent after the fact. The truth will set you free!

Can anyone in Scottsville discuss his reputation? All hear is innuendo. Where is the incidents at UVa people discuss?

Any info is helpful.

I would venture to say you should look for a different group of men to be around. Most women are sluts. See how stupid that sounds? Your choices in men must be pretty poor to hold that attitude so long.

Dumler's an attorney. He knows a sodomy charge won't fly if he "sits down and keeps his mouth shut".

1) There had to be a preponderance of evidence in order to charge/arrest him. It takes more than a person's word. Perhaps there was physical indications of forced penetration? As a victim of a sexual assault many years ago, I know. The case started off as my word against his, but in the end, the perp confused reality from his fantasy and basically hung himself in court (metaphorically speaking). It's easy to tell the truth, but difficult to keep up with a web of lies. Although, he is a politician?!?!!

2) I am shocked that Neff bailed him out. That was quite risky of her professionally. I am ALL for supporting those we love but let's not be ignorant to anyone's ability to make huge mistakes. Consequences are consequences.

3) If Dumler has a live in GF, why was he even with another woman? So he's a cheater and a rapist?

4) I am VERY curious to learn more details as many questions are left unanswered at this point. I am willing to bet, at a minimum, that Dumler had anal sex with another woman and the incident likely included alcohol/drugs. All details aside, it seems we can agree that he was in a compromising situation that went wrong. If found innocent, I would guess it will just be due to a lack of evidence but not necessarily because he's truly innocent.

One Dumler. Four words: Arrogance, defiance, petulance, denial.

If he is getting no special treatment then how come when he was released on bond he chose what door to come out of most prisoners go out the door chosen by law enforcement so what makes him better.

you need probable cause not preponderance of evidence to arrest someone. It is not a civil trial!

Doubtful was looking for an excuse to use preponderance. Probably one of those who uses big words not really knowing the meaning behind it or proper usage of the word.
