Tennessee lawmakers get $14-a-day expense increase

CHATTANOOGA - While faced with a continuing state budget crunch that likely will mean laying off state employees, Tennessee legislators have received a $14-a-day increase in their compensation for expenses.

While tax payers are having a difficult time making ends meet, it is sick that these people ,who rob the tax payers (while creating draconian laws for the tax payers to obey) get to enjoy a sizeable increase in pay, at tax payers expense, to live even better than we the tax payers do.

Yeah, that's like a slap in the face and adding insult to injury. They make enough and in some instances, way more than enough. They don't have to live like the rest of us and so they don't have a clue how it is. That's why they keep passing these laws that only reflect the realities of the wealthy and not the realtities of the general population. :-(
