I an a student a Gwynn Park High School and I have to say that Mrs. Marrow is doing a wonderful job. Her hair color, age, or marital status has nothing to do with her being a principle. Sure the way she greets us is informal but she is just trying to show us that she is someone we can connect with. Shes a cool principal that knows how to take charge of her school when she has to and im proud to say i am a Gwynn Park High School Student!

How about you talk to your kids about the rules of your own household and discipline them enough to the point were the thought of stabbing another student wouldnt even be in there minds and maybe this madness wouldnt be going on;-We are students @ GPHS which means we deal with the constant report of fights, drug deals, complaints of sexual abuse and other things that SHOULD NOT be going on at a High School. Yes Mrs. Marrow is the principal and she is responsible for our well being while at school but.....you all as parents are responsible as well even more so than MRS.MARROW. Take responsibility for your OWN kids and stop blamming the administration for something that you all as PARENTS should have taught your kids from day one.
Very Very Well Said.. and I totally agree with you!

i currently during the 08-09 school year attend gphs and i frankly think Mrs. Marrow is doing a wonderful job. SO WHAT she greets us that way and says "BABE" she has strong rules and she is a firm principal. i think you parnets need to hop off her back and let her do her thing.beside if you wanted the job then apply for it.Mrs Marrow may be a "hip" principal but she is also strict and she doesn't play aroud.

I'm currently attending Gwynn Park. I think Mrs.Marrow is doing a fantastic job making sure the students are safe. Things are going to happen at schools. Shes doing her best to build up the charactor of our school.Lets not forget that she has raised our test scores and has done many other things. So I think parents should take responsibility for their childs actions.

DEC.5 2008 I am a freshmen at Gwynn Park Highshool. I happen to love the place. I think parents need to chill. Ms.Marrown isn't doing the greatest job, but kids will find trouble anywhere they go. It is who you hang around that is important. People need to teach there kids the importance of good company.

I have a daughter who’s currently a student at GPHS. I don't think it matters what Ms. Marrow does with her hair or the unhealthy relationship that she has with her spouse. What I do care about is her awful approach with parents and students. Yes children should respect all adults but I'm an adult and she has been disrespectful to me and my daughter. Adults need to lead by example!! I have personally experienced her covering up lies of her toxic administrative team. There needs to be an investigation on her and her abusive security personnel. Everything rises and falls on leadership, in our homes, schools, churches, communities and so on. GPHS is a mess because leadership there is a mess!!! This is just the beginning, I’m not just typing about it I’m currently doing something about it. Want to join me?

ms. marrow is my principal now... i actually respect her as a principle. i wasn't in high school when this incident happened, so i can't really spaeak of that situation. i do know that now.. in 09, ms. marrow is a wonderful principle, she does change alot of stuff from year to year i've noticed, but maybe it is for the best of us students.. whoever wrote this article should probably be attacking his english teacher commenting on how awful of a teacher she is.. it makes no sense for there to be so many mistakes.. proofread jerk. and question.. did you even go to gwynn park to experience ms. marrow as a principal, or is your article based on rumors?!?!?

I was a teacher there for almost 10 years. The school has gone downhill since 2000....they need a strong black male principal and a strong black female as one VP....the school is old and needs a new physical plant.
Violence must be dealt with immediately....I was glad to retire. The place wore me out.
The article is full of grammatical errors. My students had to proofread! Security is solid...Tedesco is very good.
Why do they need to be black? I went to that school. I'm white. It does not matter the race of the person in charge. They only need to set and uphold standards in that school. My Principal had standards and we as students knew them and we also knew the results of breaking them. Maybe if we stopped focusing on race and start to focus on the children, the children would stop focusing on race and start to focus on education and the future.

They need to be Black becuase to get though to the kids you must also get thought to the parents and the parents at GP high school will only listen to a Black man!97 was over a decade ago, wake up.

Then that is the problem. People should not need to bea certain race to get across a point. And if they do, this country is doomed to fail. As for me "waking up" I thought that we had move forward in the last 10 years...not backwards. I had a black principal, Mary P. Cunningham and the parents listened to her, not because of her race but because she lead by example and earned the respect of the students and the parents. My brother and sister both requested to go to that school because of her. Perhaps a wake up call to the parents about what is right and wrong is needed. The color of someone skin does not make them qualified for a position.

You're viewing the world from a wonderfully optimistic perspective today, which makes you feel good. However, it's important that you keep your feet on the ground and don't allow yourself to be carried away by wishful thinking or unrealistic expectations.
