That women is my mother. I want justice to be served for the people who have done this to her!!! They have completley stripped me of something I will never get back. Something irreplaceable...the person who brought me into this world. My father was murdered less than a year ago and the man who took his life walked. Anyone who has information that will help my family and I, please come forward anonymously so that justice can be served. Thankyou so much to anyone who can help.

Jacquelyn, sorry for your lose, but my question is to LLR. They didn't mention names of who they have in custody, so how do you know what type of people or the bunch of them are, and if you know these people so well, why are you not helping the police with any info on these people.

Police have arrested a Brandywine woman in the stabbing death of a woman Sunday morning.

Melissa Marie Tippet, 36, was charged Monday with the first-degree murder of Cheryl Lynn Sailor, 43.

Police responded to Tippet's home in the 16300 block of Baden-Naylor Road just before 9 a.m. Sunday and found Sailor suffering from a stab wound. Sailor died at a nearby hospital Sunday.

According to charging documents filed in Prince George's County District Court, Tippet lived in Waldorf until recently and pled guilty in February to theft, which violated her parole.

Ramon Korionoff, a spokesman for the Prince George's County state's attorney's office, said Tippet has a criminal background in Charles County. Korionoff said he was aware Tippet was on parole but had yet to review court documents.

Court records for Tippet date to 1995 and include theft and second-degree assault charges. She is being held at the Prince George's County Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.

Sgt. Michelle Reedy, a Prince George's County Police Department spokeswoman, said Monday that she was unsure how many times Sailor had been stabbed.

While police believe the stabbing was spurred by an argument, Reedy said Monday the relationship between the women remained unclear.

Tippet's trial is scheduled to begin Oct. 2.

I wanted to say I also know melissa and everyone, and I only met ur mom the day of the funeral. I did want to say that at the funeral no one started a fight, it was a misunderstanding no matter what anyone says, but I wanted to say that I know how it feels to lose a parent, and to have a parent on drugs but my mother lived in a tent for a bit, but you do have to remember that Carl Lee's family took your mom in after living in different homeless shelters when she had no where to go. Carl's sister was taking care of her, until he went to jail, but Melissa will pay for what she has done, but the rest of her family are not bad people. Sorry if I sound like I am being rude, but Melissa was a very sick girl, mentally.

reading about all of this is very sad. i dont think it matters what the details are. a life was lost. two lives are lost. anyone can imagine the pain, hurt, guilt...that the families on both sides have to endure. i think the common denominator is the affects that drugs and also mental illness have on people. i pray for both families to have strength to get through such a difficult time, i can not imagine the pain. no one deserves to die in such a horrific way. as well as another being tormented by a mental illness that could lead to such a tragedy.

total understand i dont know how to spell it for sure but melissa had skinsofinia she was suppost to be taking medicine for it to control it but the rest of the family is not messed up but i do think its wrong for some people on here shouldnt bash my family just because of one persons mistakes my uncle ronnie tried to raise his kids the best he can and he too took care of cheryl when she needed help he is probably rolling around in his grave right now about everything that has been going on and cheryl was a very good person and no one really knows what they got in a fight over because diffrent storys have been going on about it one is cigs one is security check one is over a guy no one really knows what happen becuase we can only really get one side of the story and people shouldnt judge unless they have both sides

no they should not judge your family. just as no one should judge theirs. the answer is not to blame each others families. justice will be served although it will not bring either women back. im sure Cheryls family feels such anger because there could not be enough reason to kill someone. im sure melissas family feels how could their...daughter, sister, friend, aunt do something like this without it being because of her condition? the families are not at fault.

i didn't realize how much attention this would get after posting my own comment. I am just going through alot of pain over this and I will always have so many questions that will probably go unanswered forever. But the bottom line is that my mother is gone and nobody can ever bring her back.Yes this is a tragedy and Melissa Tippett may have been mentally unstable but she deserves the same as any other person for taking someones life...and I hope that when the time comes the judge see's to that. To "family" yes she my mother truly was a very good person thankyou for acknowledging that. I want people to also remember the good things about her. Leave her with some dignity!

your welcome when you set up everything for the arrangments just let me know i pray with you that justice is served and that melissa does pay for her mistake it is very wrong to take someones life no matter how bad they upset you or whatever they may have done because sooner or later it will come back and bite you in the a** my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family
