Tax no one or tax everyone. Obama believes in being equal. Tax those not working more because they aren't contributing to Society. That is the way of the Communist and Socialist. Go Obama!

I'm a 26 year Veteran. Why shouldn't I be taxed?? If there is a tax, then no one should be exempt. Either tax or don't tax. I think there should be one tax only. A user tax on all purchases made be it medical, food, cars or property. Tax me on my purchases and then leave me alone. If I buy something tax me but don't ""F"" me.

I think like someone else said with limitations just because some citizens are over 65 doesn't mean anything if they have problems like cataracs or something then u should not make them pay but if they are perfectly healthy driving cadillac escalades then hell no they need taxed!!

not to hard to prove a hardship when those over 65 live on social security. Another thing is, Hopewell does not fairy assess home values. Mine is assessed at something like 119,000. BULL CRAP. It was bought as a repo for only 47,000. Granted we had to do elect, heating system, etc... only things necessary to be livable. BUT market analysis shows it could only sell for about 89,000 at best.(and that would be lucky) so why the hell does hopewell insiste on tax it at 119,000??? because it's a greedy little town

Pea brain has no earned income and lives in a trailer. Pays very little or no taxes. If there was a tax on BS, he would lose his car and trailer. Couldn't pass the 9th grade and voted for W Bush twice, complete moron.

First of all, just because the government and the mainstream media tells you something doesn't mean it's true. What educational background and research have you done that qualifies you to make that statement?

WITH REGARDS TO THE TAX EXEMPTION, I BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE FOR ALL PEOPLE WHO ARE LIVING BELOW THE POVERTY LINE, NOT JUST THE ELDERLY OR DISABLED, BECAUSE THE MAJORITY OF THOSE PEOPLE ARE LIVING IN A RETIREMENT HOME AND AREN'T USING THE MONEY.

Only in capitalism. Capitalism is a theory, not a truth. I vote to work outside the system
