Does the firs character on your drivers license number mean anything.
Sometimes it is an O (for oscar) and sometimes it is a c ( for charlie).
Just curious.

I always thought they just went numerically.. so a letter atthe beginning allowed for larger numbers.... Mine is an E... But my parents have B's or C's..... And my gf has an F..... So it may just be a sequential thing...... When they reach the end of a number sequence they just goto the next letter and start again..

I would expect that this is pretty close to truth. Mine is an F, and my parents have E.

Though, there may be code, I know the DMV issues a "Non Driver Identification card", and I believe that it starts with an I, so it may be a little of both, going in sequence, and some letters have designations assigned to them?

Forget Oscar and Charlie, this is the Military way to spell. Phonetic Alphabet; Alfa=A, Bravo=B, Charlie=C, Delta=D, Echo=E, Foxtrot=F and so on. Like me, if your are a Gray, your DL# will start with A or B.

No social numbers on W.Va. drivers license, but the big letters spelling West Virginia does.

WTF are you talking about? The phonetic alphabet has absolutely nothing to do with your drivers license
