The Republicans only care for themselves. They do not live in the real world. As long as they have their privileges and entitlements, they don't care about the common person. They are rich, greedy, and non compassionate who keep getting richer at the commoners expense!

They are like children fighting on the playground. If the Republicans had family members who were out of work and needed help I bet they would've passed this extension in a NY minute.

Its good it was defeated. 99 weeks of "freebies" is bravo sierra. Since you liberal democrats say the economy is so good why are you bitching? There is NO incentive to look for work when one gets handouts with no effort from that one doing anything. As for the comment of rich and greedy this is the headline of the democratic play book to demonize the successful and try to bring them down instead of raising those up from the bottom. You libs and dems always want to "lower" the bar not raise it.you are jealous of those that progress and hate them as you hate america. Anything good for america is bad for the democrats and anything bad for the democrats is good for america. Simply put you dems and libs hate everybody and hate everything except of course the welfare crowd and their ilk who are like leeches who only take and give nothing back. By the way if you cant find a job here then move to where the jobs are. Works everytime its tried, but as usual you want to bitch and moan about being a failure in "lifes lottery" as you like to claim. You lazy bastards sicken me and others who believe in "personal responsibility".

Not everyone sits on their "lazy ass". I've worked consistently since I was 15 years old and was laid off from my job 6 months ago. With that being said "YOUR" tax dollars arent paying for me, Ive paid into this for the last 15 years. Yeah I can find a job, but not one that pays enough to survive. Unemployment is not a luxury, as it cut my regular salary in half. Also, the effect this will have on the economy... Unemployed can pay their bills or buy food or clothing... In the end it's going to hurt everyone. Fun fact: for every available job there are 3 people trying to get it.
**Please keep in mind to receive unemployment you must show proof of at least three job contacts per week.

It took one Republican vote to kill it. That's how close it was, and if you elect Capito, that's the way it will continue to go.

Unless you are self employed you are a ""LIAR"". You haven't paid a dime you dumb ass. Your employer pays unemployment. Do what I have done and get two or three jobs to survive. Don't feel sorry for yourself and sit on your lazy ass. No one owes you a damn thing. I have consistiently worked 2 and sometimes three jobs all my life I quit school like a dumb ass but haven't let that stop me from surviving and pretty well I might add.

Don't try to bull shytte me with no jobs crap. In Odessa, Texas there are oil field jobs. North Dakota is begging for oil field and gas field workers. Alaska fishing boats need workers. There are jobs in the Marshall Islands (Govt). You must be eaten up with the dumb azze If you can't get a job.

If its my employer paying the unemployment why is the government allowed to say I can't receive it any longer? It's not coming out of their paycheck. I have held more than one job on more than one occasion. Being a single mother to a 5 year old I am unable to work on the oil fields in Odessa, TX nor can I work 2-3 jobs in WV. Im not on welfare nor have I EVER been. Although, its starting to have its appeal. Also, Hank, I can assure you that I am not sitting around feeling sorry for myself and I don't think anyone owes me anything. I've never taken a handout in my life and never will.

I've worked since I was 16 yrs old and I'm now in my 40's. I was laid off from my job that I worked at for 23 yrs. back in the summer. I've been receiving unemployment for 7 months and I'm not home just sitting on my ass. Everyday I'm looking for a job to support my children and haven't had any luck. I'm sick of you people thinking that we just sit home and do nothing...

You should have been more concerned before you became a mom. Every one makes decisions. Now is the time for you to make better ones.
