HUD is a joke

My neighbor somehow got my landlord to accept her HUD voucher.
Now I still have to pay 700.00 to live here, but anyhow-
She meets this guy LAST November and moved in with him but left the unit furnished and picks up her mail once a week.
So...HUD (I mean my taxes) is still paying 700 for an apartment that's not even being occupied?
How is this right?

In order for you to understand and accept things like this, first you have to quit your job and then maybe go to a good doctor that will be understanding and prescribe you enough pills to sell so you can make a good life for yourself financially and then go to the welfare office and get youself a Mountain State food stamp card. The state will in turn pay for you to live while everything else will be profit. Also if a state of emergency would arise, the state will provide you with more food stamps just in case you may have lost anything in your freezer while the electricity was out. NOW THAT IS LIVING.

Angers me to no end. I live in a neighborhood full of it! The system is so broke, and don't look like any end in site. A girl I know moved here from FL and said, "I have never seen a state so easy to get welfare." Guess what??? She is on welfare and drugged up so bad she can't even and don't want to take care of her children. I could go on and on, but we all know how it goes! WE NEED REFORM!! And before all you people on welfare get on here and tell me about how wrong I am and addiction is a sickness, get a JOB and make the CHOICE not to do drugs, then come and tell your story. My mom raised my brother and me without food stamps, no clothing vouchers, no HUD. She worked 2 and 3 jobs and had more pride than anyone I have ever known.

If you need help and I actually mean need help, you get turned down, but let the person standing in line behind you with a needle hanging out of their arm or powder caked on their nose or shakin a pill bottle and they get it no questions asked. Trust me I am one of the ones that need the help help and has been turned down I have a child who has serious medical conditions and I have to live with my parents just to make it since my divorce because my ex-husband is worthless and they wont touch him either.

Same thing in my neighborhood. Lady draws check and has HUD, and she works under the table. Has a live-in boyfriend that works in the mines. The system definitely needs changes made.
