I hear this all of the time, but most hummingbirds are almost full grown before leaving the nest. I will bet you a million and one dollars it was a hummingbird moth.

About 3 minutes but WELL worth it. I like the song too. Very fitting with the video. This is amazing! I've held hummingbirds when I've rescued them from Dad's garage. They fly in and get cobwebs stuck on their wings. It's the neatest thing to be able to hold one in your hand.

True! They sit in bushes and watch the feeder until another hummingbird comes along, then here they come!! They run off others with a vengeance! It seems you always have that one that's aggressive towards the others. Funny considering how tiny they are! They are funny to watch.

Yes, I noticed how aggressive they can be. This past summer I hung a hummingbird swing in my backyard next to the feeders because I read Hummingbirds spend an average of 10–15% of their time feeding and 75–80% perching. I really always thought they consistently flew around. I think the swing increased the time the hummingbirds spend in my yard.

Going back to your observation, Dittybugdaisy, they sure are aggressive little birds!
