Join us in organizing support for an official WV holiday celebrating the humble, but ubiquitous Pepperoni Roll.

It was born in Northern West Virginia (per Wikipedia and other sources) to served to feed hungry Coal Miners with an inexpensive, but delicious and filling meal.

This isn't about anyone taking off of work. With all the stupid holidays out there, let's have a fun one that celebrates something great that is surprisingly from West Virginia.

And no, I do not work for the state. Believe me, if I did, I'd have been fired a hundred times by now.

Pepperoni rolls were a creation of the Italian miners in West Virginia. They were first marketed and sold at the Country Club Bakery in Fairmont, WV. Who needs wiki when you have me, lol. Pepperoni rolls rock!

If you've never been to Country Club bakery in Fairmont, where the pepperoni roll was invented, then you've never been to heaven on earth, yet. The aromas of the fresh baked breads and rolls is worth the trip.
