Has anybody else here found "The Y" to be a disorganized mess? It seems like for years and years that place is total chaos and confusion yet somehow it still exists which is a good thing because of the opportunities for kids but it could be alot better than what it is now.

I absolutely agree ! My child went there for child care this summer - they advertised that they would provide drinks - and that parents could either send a bag lunch or buy lunch from the subway there- well guess what the drink was that they provided ! A sip out of the water fountain !!! I thought they would provide something like koolaid or crystal light - or a bottled water - or at the very least - a paper cup full of water - but NO - not even a Dixie cup ! Just a sip out of the germy water fountain- and if you take your own water bottle - you are only permitted to have a drink thru out the day when they deem it necessary

It's dirty too. Don't even try sending them an email because you won't get a response. That place needs new management. We joined and then dropped out because we could never find anything open. We would go to play basketball and all the gyms would be tied up. We would go to play racquetball and people would show up there too with the room booked. My overweight 12 year old wasn't allowed to use the workout equipment because she wasn't 14. The pool would be busy with a class. How about not booking all the classes at the same time? Another bad move from management.

I could tell you all kinds of things that have happened to us. It's just sad. We've tried swimming lessons where the teacher never shows up, joined youth sports where there is no communication, participated in youth sports where you are supposed to get achievement awards and you don't get them. On and on. I know it is non-profit but they must be running it either on a shoe-string budget but it's still sad.
