Curious, if you are a non-beliver and have no faith in my Lord and Saviour, why does the topic of him interest you so much? Why does it bother you so much that Christians believe and have faith in something that you dont understand? Could it be that maybe he is tugging on you, and you are struggling with how to handle it? IDK, but I sure hope he is. There is no better friend, family, anything in the world better than he. I know once you give in and accept him, your life will change for the better. Not saying monetary or material wise necessarily, but that may change too. Once you trust your life and soul with him, even the worst of things can become blessings. Just wait! How many times has man failed you? How can you put your trust in man and what I guess you would call scientific proof, when science changes and fails all the time? I know that everything I have read or experienced in Christ, it has been proven to me, and some of the worst experiences have worked out to bless my family and I. Praying for you YFNA! BTW.. what does YFNA stand for?

Ah, another person who doesn't understand that this is a discussion forum. I didn't start this thread, I only chimed in about all the arguing and nastiness at the start of it(It was bad enough that topic removed it).

Why does it bother me? It does not, as long as christians keep their beliefs to themselves. Most I have zero problems at all with. Its the ones that want to shove their religion down your throat, or worse, have it enforced by the laws of the US, that I take issue with. Believe what you will, just keep it in your home and your churches.

Science is self correcting, if that's what you mean. It changes as new information is found and our understanding expanded. This is working as should be. Unlike religion, which, when proven wrong, refuses to admit or change.

Pray for me? Don't wast your time. Instead do something nice for someone you know.

Nah, prayer is never a waste of time :) I will say though, this country was founded on the Christian belief. So to have it enforced by laws of the US, well, the bible are what the majority of our laws are based upon. If someone is forceful with Christ, I apologize, but it may be that they just have something so good, they want you to have it too, because they love you. It seems, and I may be wrong, you demand the respect of Christians for your non-belief of Christ, however, you seem to have no respect for the Christian and their belief? Like I said, I may be wrong, I dont know you... Kinda like someone repeating GD all the time, but if we say something about what The Lord has done for us in our life, they get very defenseive. and BTW, you never said what YFNA stands for.. Have a good night.(A question though, sorry, I have had faith for as long as I can remember, just never really lived the life I should be until later in life, and that is a work in progress everyday) so it is hard for me to understand not having faith. so my question is, when something doesnt go right or the way you planned, or something tragic happens, how do you handle that? If you dont pray and ask God for help, what do you do to deal with something tramatic?

What makes you say that the USA was founded on christian belief? Yes, many of our founders were christian, but many were also deist wich is far,far different than christianity. Some were also atheist/agnostic. If they intended us to be a christian nation, why did the not just say so in the constitution. Why did they write "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" in the 1st amendment? Many countries establish their religion in the constitution, but not here.

Why in the Treaty of Tripoli did they say "As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion,—as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen [Muslims],—and as the said States never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan [Muslim] nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries." There ya go, spelled out and ratified by the vast majority of the Senate in 1797.

Our laws and the laws of the bible are just based on earlier laws codes and traditions. See Hammurabi's code for a much earlier than christianity look at the subject.

I do not demand anything, I simply speak my beliefs, as is my right. I do not expect christians or anyone else to not speak theirs. They have an opinion and so do I.

You'd certainly need to show me what I got defensive about. Giving my opinion on a subject is not defensive.

I deal with something traumatic, the same as everyone else. By myself, I just don't have a placebo.
