My child is 15 and wants to live with me. Does anyone know with 100% certainty because of experience with this situation or whatever if my kid can choose?

You have to just file the request with family court, wait for a hearing with a judge, tell your side/reason, the respondant will tell their side/reason, judge may/may not listen to the child's request, then you wait for a decision... There is NO way for anyone to be able to tell you what your outcome is going to be... I mean, seriously?!!!

After a certain age the child can choose which parent to live with. As long as its safe. I know because i just went thru it. Stop being such a bitch. I mean seriously?!?

Honey, it's not that simple & easy... Each parent gets to give their side/reasons. Judges don't just let kids choose, regardless of age, without a hearing & taking all arguments into consideration. Learn family law.

Yes, they have the right to decide, but it still has to go before a family court judge for leagl decision. & the judges do listen to each petitioner & respondant before making a decision. Espicially because they know how kids are. Ex. "Such & such parent grounded me, so i want to live with the other one now" or "Such & such parent won't let me do something" scenarios.

" Noooo" are you simple or something? I know your trying desperately to appear like you know everything. You think people can't google or read? They asked if the child could choose not if it would have to go to court! It says "in your experience" You are obviously just wanting to antagonize someone in a very sad situation. Next time you want to toot your own horn open your mouth and go beep beep.

Another person gets their google law degree congratulations "Nooooo" The concerned parent didn't ask for you to give them a lesson in the judicial process, they asked if "anyone knows if a child can choose"
