Several different perks throughout the year
etc...

Just be thankful you have a nice secure job in these times and stop whining. You never know how well you have it until it is gone.

I think Nurse Goodbody's statement was sarcastic - CAMC routinely gives the bigwigs big bonuses while tells the employees "sorry, we got sued last year, no bonus!" My wife's last year there, she got a t-shirt for her "bonus"...that's almost like laughing in a person's face!

Your bonus is a job with benefits and chances for promotions if one applies themselves. Come on guys what more do you want? If you are upset that higher management received a bonus then just work hard and become part of higher management.

A good education and hard work will do the trick every time. Try it sometime you just may like it.

No offense there but in an eight hour shift just how many hours do you honestly put in. Two maybe three? You social butterflies stand around and talk for at least 1/2 your shift and hide another 1 maybe 2 hours and work the rest. As I said just be thankful you have a job that provides you with benefits and a descent wage. Take that meal ticket and use it.

You need to learn some manners and thank someone every now and then for the opportunity to work there. That goes for all of you not just housekeeping.

My opinion of course.

I think they do deserve a bonus some of them work there asses off and some aren't worth a damn I have been very sick because of residents mistakes and if I wasn't for the nursing staff and the doctors at CAMC women's and children's emergency room taking care of me the past week I would have made this week! Thank you very much to those of you who have helped me!!! You are the unsung Heros!!!

With all due respect those employees are not heroes they are doing what they were paid to do. When they were first interviewed and then eventually hired certain requirements were asked of each employee. It's that simple. People who simply do their job do not need to be put upon a pedastal as though they are some sort of saint.
It's like an employee at McDonalds when asked to make a Big Mac and when they do it right so be it, move onto the next one. No pedastal it is simply just doing your job.

I don't think this was anyone whining... I think it was an actual thank you. And I'm sorry but I work at CAMC and I'm getting the bonus. You people that act like we don't do our jobs need to get a life. I'm sure there are some that don't but don't disrespect people. Yes we get paid to do a job but you have to have a certain amount if compassion to do a nurses job. I'm not a nurse but I respect what they do. Have some respect.

Employees at CAMC have it made and most do not appreciate it. They have some of the best medical coverage and other benefits that are offered anywhere in the state. The ones that constantly complain will always complain until they are either fired or quit.
And once that happens then and only then will they realize what they had and what they have lost.

CAMC is one of the largest employers in the entire state and it should be considered a priviledge to be employed there.

No matter what the job or conditions. If you are in a position you have outgrown or simply no longer like then just apply yourself and transfer to another department and or position. It's that simple!

As I said CAMC employees have it made!

Then go to school, get an education and quit begrudging others because they did. They are always hiring so if you want to work for such a great company apply!! First let me clue you in on a few things.....you do not get sick days, you get PTO days. If you call in sick you get in trouble! Above average wages because we went to school and earn our pay! The cost of healthcare at the hospital is over 300.00 a paycheck for a family. That's not cheap! No matter what you make! There is not job security. CAMC is not union and they can fire people at will!

How can you say they have the best insurance when they pay out the rear for it and have to go to a camc facility and still pay a co pay like everyone else?

My department at CAMC was "outsourced" to another company. They kept us on...which was cool...and pay was actually better than CAMC gave us, benefits as well...but in the end, after 10 years, my job was sent to India by this other company we were sold to...so, poof goes the career!
