This is too much! How in the hell can a KCSD get away with tasing an 11 year old? Oh, and 11 year old girl who was fighting with another 11 year girl over a boy.
Mike Rutherford said "the officer had no way of knowing their age" also to add "tasing a juvenile is not against policy"
How can this not be deemed excessive force? Do we, as taxpayers and voters, even remember the term excessive force?
Could this deputy just not stop 2 girls from hair pulling?
I have an 11 year old son and I am outraged over how we allow the police here the ability to do as they please.
I'm a native New Yorker and I have never seen more chest puffing cops than I have here in WV.
This cop hasn't been suspended and the child had to spend the night in the hospital with a head injury sustained from when she hit the deck. The result of a taser.
When are the citizenry of Kanawha County going to speak up and speak out against police forces who go unchecked and unchallenged?!?

I agree there are too many chest puffing cops here in Kanawha County, but I heard the officer ORDERED the girls to stop fighting several times. I hate that the girl got tased but she should have followed the orders of the cop.

It isn't like cops hasn't came over there and talk to the parents about their kids. I have a kid this as and I would not like it at all if he was out fighting. If this was the 3rd time he had been reminded that fighting was bad. Then by all means he wasn't listen to me or the cops from the start. Maybe after being tazed it will kick in and no more fighting. I wouldn't expect a cop to get hurt and spilt up kids who already knew cops didn't like how they been acting and not listening to them from the start.. they are not parents and they're not bouncers. Theyre cops. If you didn't listen to your parents when the cops brought it to their attention and you would listen to the cops.. hard head makes a sore azz. Hopefully the kids will learn when a cop come to you, you stop what your doing and do what they say. And hopefully the parents for now on start busting that adz and this stuff wouldn't happen.

Yes im aware of that. If I was the mother I be pissed that someone brought their daughter to fight my child. Cops has got to look after their safety too. I don't expect them to jump into any fight kids or adults to stop it. When they had already said stop more then once.

Kids should never be fighting unless it is for self defense.
