Why does my husband ad-lib everything I say?

My husband and I have been together for 5 years but married for less than 1. We recently had a newborn son and I have a daughter from a previous relationship(never married before). I have started noticing this new thing he is doing where he ad-libs every sentence that I say. He just can not stop. Example " You get paid next friday right?" He said "Yes" I said "ok, I get paid the tuesday after my daugthers birthday" (15th). He said "You get paid after me" (not a question). I said "Yeah, I just said that?!" This goes on with merely everything I say. Sometimes he even finishes my sentences before I do. This is totally annoying and when I mentioned it tonight AGAIN he stated if you dont like the way i am then maybe you shouldnt be around me.... THIS IS NEW... It is not something that has been going on before. IT IS ANNOYING. Advice?

Sweet heart, you have to remember. Men are good for alot of reasons. But when it comes to stress, and a newborn can be very stressful, that is our field.. He may just be tired or unaware that he is doing it. My husband has done something to this nature for YEARS.. the only reasons I have come up with are these:
He repeats your questions and turns them into intelligent answers to make himself feel like he came up with it and he is explaining the situation to you (control of the convo lol)

He does it to help himself remember important dates, times, and things to do. When he speaks it, it helps him remember.

And Last. You have to remember, Men grow up, but they never ever loose that 12 year old sense of humor. It aggrevates you, and he finds this funny. Even if it leads to an agruement, they will laugh at first when you bring it up.. its their nature. If this is the biggest complaint you have after 5 years of being together, you are lucky!! and trust me, if you start doing it back to him, you will get your point across, but he may also have a little tantrum too!! lol this is when it will humor you.. And then it will come to a point when they will remind you constantly of how you got mad over something stupid.. you might be riding in the car and say something, lol, he will repeat it in an "I am so smart" response and grin at you... those are the times you will both laugh.. grow together and enjoy it.. It is not worth divorcing over. TRUST ME ON THIS.. you grow together and learn together.
