Does anyone go to this clinic and if so can you tell me a little about it? Such as the cost and what kinds of medication they give you, are the doctors good etc?

Then when you try to go most pharmacies in the area, they will laugh at you and turn you down, because most health care professionals know that place is a joke.

I hope you do dear. I'll pray for you. I've been reading some of your posts and quite frankly, you are not too smart. Perhaps you and wvgirl could take some classes together, oh that's right you are one in the same, cause you have no friends. Sorry for you dear. TaTa for now Lady of Quality

Wow looks like someone has been boozing it up tonight . I wonder if " it" will eventually choke on " it's" drunken vomit and do away with itself .

I actually called today because I waited 8 weeks to get in with a pain specialist then when I go to my appointment that THEY scheduled after reviewing My records and referrals... The one dr I saw couldnt help my situation, one was on leave and the other is not taking new patients. I was So upset!!! So I googled pain clinics... I called them. It def seems
Shady. You take $235 cuz they don't bill Insurance, u need MRI, cat scan or
Xrays, and a photo id. I called after reading this again and asked if they fill on sight and they said no.. They have a pharmacy that they can recommend down the road. Oh, and you have to drop all that off to them, They give u an
Appointment cArd and sometimes they can get u in that day otherwise 2-3
Days. So when u say give I anything? Like what's higher than 10mg prercocet? Hope thG helps

I have chronic lower back pain but have never been to a pain specialist because I haven't wanted to have to take pills everyday. However, the pain is getting in the way of me living my life recently. It almost brings me to tears to get out of bed in the morning and I'm unable to exercise anymore. Just wondering if I need to go to a family doctor or if the Hope pain clinic could help me. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks!

I hope you are able to find help.
We are in the same predicament ....somewhat.
I was diagnosed with rheumatiod arthritis in 2000
(when I was a young adult). After 12 yrs of chronic
pain I find myself unable to deal with it these
days. I refused the idea of a pain clinic for the
first 5 or 6 yrs because I thought they were for
junkies. As I see some of the other posters think
as well. Now I can't afford my judgmental ideas
any more than I can afford the health care I need.
I have not sought out a pain clinic for the last
years because of cost. Any money I spend on health
care comes out of household money. We are not
hurting like some ppl but we're not rich either.
So I am still putting it off but for how long I
don't know.....

I go there and I will say this, they are very strict if your levels aren't where they should b or your count is off or if you come in with track marks or powder up your nose they will no longer treat you.

Did you ever set up an appointment? If so, how did everything go? My pain dr lost his license and I came across this forum. Dont pay any mind to my location. Im actually only 2hrsmy away. Is it worth the trip? Anyone?

Or is anyone willing to elaborate on your experience with this office & the doctors? I have a recent xray report...mri is over 8yrs old so I'm sure they wont accept this. I dont have insurance and cannot afford $2-3,000 for a new one. Im hoping my xray report and medical records dating back 5yrs will be ok. I also have lupus.b

Any info someone can provide would be helpful.

It will be worth the drive. They accept X-rays. Although I had an MRI, they said X-ray or ct scan would be acceptable. Or "radiology" report. They need written report. I went in at 11:45am on a VeRY busy day I believe. They took my cash $235, my MRI and told me I could be seen at 12:30. So I waited and waited. And there are officers that work there... I forge what they're called.. DEA officers? Not sure/ and they screen you and ask questions and look at your past prescriptions they can look up. They explain a lot of stuff and ask a lot of questions to see of u r a legit patient. Then u wait to see the doctor. I was there a total of 5 hours but that was after memorial day so they had patients double booked. The dr exams u... Looks over ur radiology report... Looks at what you've recently taken and how u did with that. But I asked for something stronger and he was fine with taking that and also wrote me for my arthritis. It does seem shady but it's not... They monitor everyone closely and it weeds out the real patients from the abusers. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the information. I think I am going to go maybe tomorrow. Its good they have officers there. Maybe this clinic will stay for good since they most likely don't have problems with the druggies lining up at the door with the DEA there lol. They should have this procedure at all oain clinics. If they did this would take care of the problems with these types of medications getting into the wrong hands. Again...thanks for the information.
