When will Bonnie Bain ever go to prison? She embezzled hundreds of thousands of dollars - and was caught in 2004. Finally sentenced this year to only 30 months and only $250 per month in restitution. She has never shown up on any of the jail or prison websites- what's the deal?

I heard she gets to do her time on the weekends. Report at 6:00 p.m. and be released at 6:00 a.m. monday morning. This way she can still work and pay her restitution.

She worked at the bank since the 70's. She always acted like money was no problem. She has always acted like she thinks she is better than everybody & spent money on her daughter like crazy. I'd say she stole a lot more and a lot longer than anybody even knows.

Why the special treatment ? Weekends only ? No pics on tv - none in the newspaper - none on websites. 100 years to pay off her debt (well part of it)sounds like somebody takin care of her!

Speaking of Bonnie does anyone recall the name of that other lady who got caught stealing thousands of dollars from either the Hurricane or Teays Valley Branch? It was in the late 90's I believe, and she ended up doing a couple of years at some minimun security place. I wonder what happebed to her? I was totally shocked at what she did, but for the life of me I can't recall her name.

@what's the deal

The state of West Virginia that's who. You would be amazed at the people who are working there that have criminal records. Utterly amazed!

@whats the deal

What a world we live in huh? I know two people personally who have jobs with the state and have been incarcerated before. Either one or two things can make that happen. One is they say they do a criminal background check and don't follow through with it (very likely with the state) or somehow someone chooses to look the other way.

It's like when people say always try and hire union contractors, because they are drug tested and all this and that. Well, i also know of union contractors who smoke pot and pop pills daily and yet they find ways to beat the tests and get hired.

Like i said "what a world we live in"

She is 60 years old. She is paying $250 per month - that's only $3000 per year
In 20 years - at the age of 80 - she will have only paid $60,000 !! Just a drop in the bucket !!if she goes EVERY weekend from Friday 6pm til Monday 6am -(no weekends off for Christmas - thanksgiving or anything else) it will take 7 years to serve 30 months !!
It's a crock - steal hundreds of thousands of dollars and get babied thru the "punishment"

seriously?!? how are you still in business?? anyone who would hire her deserves the poor house she puts them in...as a tax payer I'm outraged to pay her salary and think its ridiculous that's all she has to pay back. as a business owner I would think you would feel the same way. I don't care how good your customer service if your stealing, yes that is what embezzling is, you are NOT a good employee!!

I heard she was going to pull her weekends on house arrest,instead on being in jail. This would save the state a lot of money on housing her on the weekends.

I can't be 100% sure, but I am pretty confident she has already been put on probation. She did a few weekends and was released for time served and good behavior and now must be on probation for 1 1/2 years plus restitution.

well - her dad, Jimmy Cox is a retired police officer. He is an old drunk. He goes around town butt-kissin - so I'm sure he has some connections he has used to get her a "sweet deal" he used to bail his grandson out of trouble on a regular basis
