James C. Mcconihay had no involvement with a conspiracy to commit a felony. Before this incident occurred James C. Mcconihay had asked several individuals, including me, for a ride to Hurricane. He wanted to retrieve some personal belongings /items such as clothes and grooming products from a residence there. I personally refused to take him because I did not want to drive the distance from Charleston WV to Hurricane WV. Now, I wish I had. After his determination to find someone to drive him to Hurricane; he found the wrong means of transportation. To his misfortune he became entangled in the possessions of other individuals. I cannot speak for the other two men arrested because I have no information about their objectives. I can only speak on the facts of what I know.

For a fact, James C. Mcconihay was on the straight and narrow. He did not want to get into trouble with Law Enforcement Authorities ever again. Strikingly, the charges brought against him are far-fetched in nature. Far-fetched because in order to be involved in a conspiracy to commit a felony there at least has to be one or more individuals involved.

However, the other two individuals arrested were charged with attempt, which implies they were acting single or alone in their allegations. If the other two arrested are charged with attempt (acting alone) then how is James C. Mcconihay charged with a conspiracy; who was he conspiring with? Suspicious!

These charges are a bunch of malarkey. James C. Mcconihay simply wanted a ride to Hurricane WV, and chose the wrong source of transportation. As for being in the possession of pseudoephedrine medication, James has allergies and sinus complications; which is why James C. Mcconihay’s possession of pseudoephedrine was “not in an altered state” because there was no intent on manufacturing methamphetamines. The allegation of “intent to manufacture meth” is supposed by Law Enforcement Officials. The medication was needed either for his symptoms of constant headaches and sinus allergies or it was in the vehicle of which he was arrested. For a fact, he had no intentions of manufacturing methamphetamines. Mcconihay just wanted a ride to Hurricane and was willing to accept a ride from anyone who would give him one.

For a fact, Mcconihay was recently released from jail pending an arrest on April 1, 2013. Since then he has been trying to vigorously change his past life into something more productive. Although, I was unaware of a warrant for his failure to appear in court on a charge of grand larceny; this must have been based on misrepresentation and misinterpretation of that crime. He is only 23 years of age and all people make mistakes. He is very humble, and a bright young man which is why he and all three men were arrested without incident; which means he/they did not resist. He has had a hard-life and just needs guidance, direction, and better life opportunities.

The traffic stop may have been part of a larger investigation by the Putnam County Sheriff's Department and the Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Network Team. As for James C. Mcconihay being an individual part of that larger investigation is hard to believe and measure because James C. Mcconihay did not even have a transportation resource to reach Hurricane WV. He definitely did not want any involvement with Law Enforcement. James C. Mconnihay is from Kanawha County and was merely at the wrong place at the wrong time while Investigative Authorities were conducting its larger investigation.

Ryan, Being that Corey is my boyfriend and I have read that letter that you wrote him while he was in jail. My answer to you would be that you don't/won't and didn't know Corey or JC as you call him. If I ever find out that you wrote him another letter or called him there will be trouble. Corey is and has been a meth addict for many years. Did you not see the track mark on his left arm. Dude he took you for a ride and you didn't even know it.

Coreys lover is right Ryaninwva. How can u b so stupid to write something so freakin amazing about a meth head. He is a worthless sob. Coreys lover said she read the letters u wrote him in jail how sad. If ur jail letters were anything like this crap on here it prolly tricked the courts into thinking that jerk was really innocent. U kno jail workers read all mail b4 inmates get it. I really thought the jerk was innocent after reading this crap on here. No wonder he got out of jail last Friday. I aint neva send my bf nothin in jail the jerk desrved it. Yo ryan send my bf a letter maybe the judge and jail staff might read your crap and think he is innocent too. Coreys lover is right u were wrong for trying to help out that worthless meth head u shoulda just let him rot without nothing.

There is no way around it he is definitely going to go to prison on his court date for this meth bust arrest. There is a maximum sentence of 5 years on meth arrest.
