There is nothing wrong with having faith in Christian beliefs.

There is nothing wrong with NOT having faith in Christian beliefs.

Its not really anything to fight about.

I support tolerance and respect for everyone's religious beliefs, true or false.

There is a higher power other than man and what that power is nobody knows. Something had to creatre and place us here and give us the knowledge and ability to reproduce.

Life as we know it cannot be explained by accident. We have eyes and a brain and thought and imaginations etc and we fel pain and sorrow and happiness and joy and there is so much more

However we came into being and how it came about will more than likely never be known, but whomever or whatever is responsible I thank them, because being alive and enjoying life is awesome.

dear underskinned, if you knew anything about the Bible, you would know that Jesus spoke many times about how the Old Testament would be done away with. Those things written for the Jews 4000 years ago do not apply today. So your OT justifications do not work. Sorry.

Here, babies don't come from God, they come from penis+vagina+vigorous repeated insertion+ejaculation = fertilized egg = conception = baby. TADA!!

Science!!
You should draw a schematic of this in crayon for the laymen among us lol

God hasn't sent that memo out. Only preacher hackster said that you can discard the old book. A church divided is no church at all.

I believe in God, but I don't believe in religion. What erks me is how people say Christmas is to celebrate Jesus's birthday, when it was created by pegans long before Christ. Also, God isn't Jesus. Jesus prayed to God while on the cross. So are people trying to say that Jesus prayed to himself? Yeah, didn't think so. I can't stand going to church either. Way too many hypocrites!

Wow, that's a pretty lame way to explain a miracle. I guess you don't think it's a miracle that a tiny microscopic cell from one individual binds with another microscopic cell from another individual to make an entire new human being. Your kids must really feel special! TADA you're an idiot!
Don't you think its funny that according to the Big Bang theory that all the matter in the universe was created at once in a big spectacular explosion? That just sounds like a bunch of scientists that can't really explain how we got here remarketing creationism to appeal to the godless masses.
No, honey, it's not a "miracle". Webster's destinies a miracle as: "1: an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs
2: an extremely outstanding or unusual event, thing, or accomplishment
3 Christian Science : a divinely natural phenomenon experienced humanly as the fulfillment of spiritual law.

It's SCIENCE & BIOLOGY!!!

IF there was no intercourse, THEN you could call it a miracle...I didn't birth a baby Jesus, so, no, not a miracle.

My child is an amazing little person, but I'm not a bit delusional about how she got here....she got here because my husband & I were ready for a child, stopped birth control, and had a baby, not because God "gave" her to me.

Sounds like a pretty dumb answer. I'm guessing that you are a homosexual, & not a very educated one at that. If it makes you feel any better, no one really cares about your opinion .
Looks like you do, considering you have stalked this thread to interject your mindless drivel. You sound like a pretty closed-minded moron to me. You are calling people stupid, yet you can't wrap your haed around a theory so you write it off. But, your opinions DO matter to me because people like you are the reason hate, fear, anger and oppression exist.

Religion is a mental illness: Paranoia, self-loathing, depression, delusional thought processes, grandeur issues, homophobia, hearing voices, irrational paradigms regarding everyday events, etc...

So, I've stalked this thread, and I'm closed minded? Lets see, before replying to your post, I made 3 other replies. Read the words you directed towards me, & explain how I am the closed minded one? Well, I would stay and chat, but I have a life and a job to get to. Good luck abolishing religion and religious views. Don't want those crazies running around praying for you or something. Who knows what you may catch.

Hey, lets' pick and choose what items we want to take from these horrribly written, inconsistant and incoherent novels and use it to justify giving our worthless, guilt-filled lives some semblance of meaning. The more modern versions of these books have been used to both inspire the populace, but more often, to oppress nearly every element of human civilization since the rise and fall of the Roman Empires. Simply put, they are a collection of propaganda. The accounts of Jesus are actually the accounts of many different social revolutionaries, look up the historical and archelogical records. The stories in both Testaments are simply re-tellings of older fairy tales that simple, poor, illiterate folks told over and over again. Nothing more.

Believe what you want to believe folks, but stop trying to rationally justify irrational beliefs. But no one is going to hell for not buying into what you're selling. There's no such place so get over it.

How long does it take to type all that out with a third grade education? You're the one who started spewing all the ignorant name calling. No one is saying anyting about abolishing religion, we just don't want it interfering with our lives via public policy. And yes, you are closed minded, it's rather obvious. Why is someone who doesn't buy into religious concepts automatically stupid and/or gay? The fact is, you don't want to stay and chat because I would chew up your religious nonsense, and childish name calling and sh*t it out.
Don't pray for me, I don't want anything to do with that hypocratic idiocy.

That is correct, well the last part. I find it pretty awful people have to have an award for not being a bad person.

If I offered YOU a condom, I would encourage you to double check that there is no hole since another version of yourself is too many Pastor Mikes.
