a dumb pluck as well as others that follow you. Nothing is gonna happen to the 23nd amendment you knuckle draggers need to stop whining. Why is it important for you imbeciles to have a assault weapon on the street? I asak because handguns and riflesa are not targeted, you do not need a magaize to hold 30 bullets just to shoot a deer either.
I wish you morons would get an education and stop listening to radio and fox news, the more you clowns listen to therm the morte stupid and buffoonisdh you look to the rest of the world.
OMG... what is it with you anti-gun pansies and deer?? NOBODY uses a classic "assault rifle" to hunt! It's TOO SMALL of a caliber!! We keep classic "assault rifles" for the same reasons at the cops and military; to KILL PEOPLE. Well, people and varmints. And we need 30 round mags for the same reason the military and police need them. Some people are really sneaky and really fast, making them hard to hit, and sometimes they don't always go down on the first shot... oh, and believe this or not... sometimes a wild animal invades civilization and they are REALLY sneaky and fast.... oh, and sometimes darnit, they just freakin fun to shoot for absolutely no reason whatsoever... I mean, you're not seriously suggesting we rely on SOMEONE ELSE to defend us and our families, right?? What kind of entitlement-seeking-down-in-th e-back-check-jockey do you think we are?? You weenies need to keep your pantries stocked so I'll have an easy take food supply when I'm rummaging through your abandoned house later. lol. Doomsdayer? Nah. Keeping track of where a couple of them live? Oh yeah. ;)

You can put lasers and scopes on any handgun.... And if you think that the govt would launch a nuke on its own.people you are insane..... To think that all military would.follow a dictator leader against their own people is also a pipe dream of yours........ The "assault rifle" you speak of at least levels the playing field slightly.
^^ the absolute epitome of the problem with American society today. This guy truly believes the cop passing him on the freeway doing 10 over the limit is actually "on a call".

I'm still chuckling about being called a Fascist. I guess there is a first time for everything. The fact that all four groups affiliated are working to try to save our republic for falling into a total fascist/socialist mess with no future of prosperity, really makes for a great irony of sorts.

Neo-Cons are progressives that pose as concervatives who say concervative talking points and then legislate in manner that undermines the concervative voters who elect them in.

The groups involved in this petition are made up of people who are comcerned about the corruption in politics, and choose to equate to more than a Sunday afternoon armchair quarterback. Perhaps people would understand that, if they watch less Daily Show, and Bill Maher. To be honest I don't pay much attention to CNN, MSNBC, or Fox. Where's your stereotype now?
The fact that you put fascist and socialist labels on the same thing proves you are an idiot sir

Yes it was a stupid question, but affective for the purpose the post was even created for. Seeing as how the whole purpose was to get people introduced to the petition, I don't really care if you think a 15 yr old posed it. By the way thanks for the bump by posting to my stupid convo. ;)

The 2nd amendment is being upheld by the government. Having a petition for the state to uphold the 2nd amendment is asinine, your petition would be more fruitful if it was in support of large magazines and assault-style weapons.

Or you could just be a NORMAL gun owner.

The safety of children and all other people are second to any one group of fanatics' "rights".

What idiot needs a 30 round clip???

If you are that paranoid and stupid then you need to be taken out of the gene pool.

Clarify the 2nd Amendment

It is time for "We The People" to let our Congress and our President know that "We The People" demand our right under The United States Constitution to clarify the true meaning of the Second Amendment to The U.S. Constitution. There is not just five words to the 2nd Amendment, there are 27 words to the 2nd Amendment. The five most used words are "The Right To Bear Arms", not "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State". The subject of the 2nd Amendment is plainly written, "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State". There is no individual or person in the 2nd Amendment, there is State and People, the State is "The People" and "The People" is the State, as in "We The People of The United State of America". When an individual or person is noted, it is noted. ARMS: Weapons considered collectively weaponry, implements of War, weapon systems, munitions. Weapons of Mass Destruction, Nuclear Arms, Chemical and Biological Weapons. "A well regulated Militia (National Guard), composed of the body of "The People", trained to Arms, is the proper, natural and safe defense of a free State. Different organizations and political factions have Perverted our U.S. Constitution on countless of occasions, most notable are The National Rifle Association, The Chamber of Commerce, The Republican Party and even members of our Supreme Court of the United States. "We The People of The United States" can not allow the above radical organizations or right-wing members of our Supreme court to Pervert the 2nd Amendment or other parts of our beloved U.S. Constitution. I ask you, how can Conservative right-wing Neo-Cons interpret the most Liberal document ever written? By them using a Conservative, narrow, closed mind interpretation of such a Liberal document is impossible as they have demonstrated on several occasions. "We The People of The United States" demand that a Constitutional Amendment be made available to the voting public, so the 2nd Amendment may be clarified as to the true meaning for which it was written. "We The People" purpose that the Second Amendment shall be clarified as to the true meaning for which it was written. "We The People" purpose that the 2nd Amendment reads as follows: "A well regulated Militia (National Guard), being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People (State) to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed".

"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government"
-- Thomas Jefferson, 1 Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

"The very atmosphere of firearms anywhere and everywhere restrains evil interference - they
deserve a place of honor with all that's good"
-- George Washington

"The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed."
-- Alexander Hamilton, The Federalist Papers at 184-188

"Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the act of depriving a whole nation of arms, as the blackest."
-- Mahatma Gandhi

"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
-- Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759.

Fact: The malitia was never called (National Guard) until it received funds from the Federal Government in 1903, 102 years after the Bill of Rights was ratified.

None of these people, with the possible exception of Gandhi, could ever imagine a high-capacity, automatic weapon in the hands of an average citizen.

Also, wasn't it Gandhi who advocated peaceful revolutionÂ…you know, without weapons?

Also all of these quotes seem like the personal opinions of our founding fathers, and for some reason, none of these quotes made it into the Bill of Rights, or Constitution, or Declaration of Independence, or even the damned Articles of Confederation. Maybe because they were concerned with the good of the people?

Also its militia, not 'malitia'.

What? How did you arrive to that completely wrong assumption? I have very little trust in the gov't, especially the current administration, but to even think that as bad as it is, that they would launch a nuke at their own people, would be a total last resort.......
