There is a petition going around that is trying to get policy in place in WV to uphold the Second Amendment. Do you agree with the previsions spelled out in the encouraged bill?

a dumb pluck as well as others that follow you. Nothing is gonna happen to the 23nd amendment you knuckle draggers need to stop whining. Why is it important for you imbeciles to have a assault weapon on the street? I asak because handguns and riflesa are not targeted, you do not need a magaize to hold 30 bullets just to shoot a deer either.
I wish you morons would get an education and stop listening to radio and fox news, the more you clowns listen to therm the morte stupid and buffoonisdh you look to the rest of the world.

"You are".... The 2nd amendment has absolutely nothing to do hunting or sports shooting, it is in place to protect the people from a tyrannical government, such as the one you are witnessing in Washington right now........ Maybe you should be the one that "gets educated" before posting
.. and by definition AR-15's are NOT classified as assault weapons under the current law....

What I see wrong with the Petition. This Petition is sponsored by Neo-Con Fascist Groups. I you want to get in bed with these types of Anti-Constitutional groups, go for it.

Neo-Con Fascists groups? You really don't know what you are talking about do you? It's one thing to spout off labels and talking points. Its another thing to actually be making a valid statement. Ingnorance comes from believing what you are told, and not actually reading up on things for yourself.

As for "You are"...
When trying to insult someone else's intelligence, it is never a wise to call others names without providing any other substance on an issue. you merely end up looking like the knuckle dragged in the long run.

You both serve as evidence of exactly why we are in this horrible shape in our nation today.

your assault weapons are no match for predator drones and the guns they have. the argument that we need them to fight the goverment is bs because the lil guns we have are no match for what they have like nukes.

You can put lasers and scopes on any handgun.... And if you think that the govt would launch a nuke on its own.people you are insane..... To think that all military would.follow a dictator leader against their own people is also a pipe dream of yours........ The "assault rifle" you speak of at least levels the playing field slightly.

Since anonymous supports the second amendment and states they will do what it takes to preserve it no one will have to worry about drones or nukes.

I'm still chuckling about being called a Fascist. I guess there is a first time for everything. The fact that all four groups affiliated are working to try to save our republic for falling into a total fascist/socialist mess with no future of prosperity, really makes for a great irony of sorts.

Neo-Cons are progressives that pose as concervatives who say concervative talking points and then legislate in manner that undermines the concervative voters who elect them in.

The groups involved in this petition are made up of people who are comcerned about the corruption in politics, and choose to equate to more than a Sunday afternoon armchair quarterback. Perhaps people would understand that, if they watch less Daily Show, and Bill Maher. To be honest I don't pay much attention to CNN, MSNBC, or Fox. Where's your stereotype now?

Hello all ... love seeing discussions on relevant topics, unfortunately I would like to see more substance than name calling.
I am the State Chair of one of the "Neo-Con Fascist" groups referred to above. In fact, the Libertarian Party is the third largest political party in the United States. Furthermore, when we are referred to as "Anti-Constitutional groups" I think that some education may be in order. as we the LP are in all aspects the only political party fighting to uphold the Constitution.
As for the petition, I am not claiming that anyone "needs" or "must have" an assault weapon. That is not the point! The point is that this is a inalienable right. It is a right that stands (regardless of the 2nd Amendment, but further enumerated by it) and the petition simply affirms that you support our state (WV) telling the Federal Government that they will stand behind our right! Once we begin to allow even the smallest facit of our rights to be stripped away, the snowball will continue to grow until all of our rights are gone.

Either you are the most misinformed person I have had contact with or you are spreading lies. The Libertarian Party is 180 degrees opposite the labels you are implying.

i like libertarians but hate the other groups. I don't like them because they want the freedom to own guns but they want you to go to jail if you smoke a joint.

The Constitution and the Libertarian Party has nothing in common. The Libertarian Party advocates Anarchy, which is followed by Fascism.
PREAMBLE
As Libertarians, we seek a world of liberty; a world in which all individuals are sovereign over their own lives and no one is forced to sacrifice his or her values for the benefit of others.
We believe that respect for individual rights is the essential precondition for a free and prosperous world, that force and fraud must be banished from human relationships, and that only through freedom can peace and prosperity be realized.
Consequently, we defend each person's right to engage in any activity that is peaceful and honest, and welcome the diversity that freedom brings. The world we seek to build is one where individuals are free to follow their own dreams in their own ways, without interference from government or any authoritarian power.

I have read the literature that proclaims Libertarians to be anarchists. I have found this assumption to be merely a birds eye view taken from someone who never had the desire to be 100% objective in their opinion. Not a single Libertarian that I know including myself would ever desire to see a social system that would cause an anarchist state in our country. The idea of limited government is still a vast contrast to the idea of no government at all. The idea of a government restrained by limitation is exactly why the Constitution was pinned. In our country today Liberalism or at least what modern Libralism has become is bringing us far closer to a fascist state than any other political ideal has in the history of this nation. I would be very various of the places or people by which you are receiving you education from. They appear to be misleading you.

The amendments of the constitution do have limits people. Just because you have the right to bare arms doesn't mean you're allowed to have any type of weapon you want, just like you somebody can't yell "FIRE!" in a crowded place (freedom of speech), or how a newspaper cannot print slanderous material (freedom of the press).
There are LIMITS, and how far these limits do or do not go are decided by the Supreme Court.
Not Obama, or anybody else is going to destroy the 2nd amendment, but reasonable laws should be in place. I don't need an an assault rifle, I don't need a 30-round clip. My handguns, my shotguns, and my hunting rifles are safe, that's all that should matter.
