Would that "enlightened" policy be applied to Chris when he was a druggie a few years ago. That is a fact. By your "solution" he would have been taken care of by a firing squad.
In an election anything can happen but I doubt Chris feels positive that he will win reelection. He has angered many people in town. Most would just like to get back to normal where Hamlin becomes a pleasant place again.
Do you really think Chris would be dancing in the street? He is a fundamentalist, they don't dance.
Hamlin or any town will no longer be normal, quite or pleasant with all of the drugs in the world today. It will continue to get worse if not stopped which is hard to do. And as for Chris being a druggie a few years ago, you are wrong I personally know this man and he has not touched anything for over 30 years. As for angering people maybe that is because he and the police officers are doing their jobs? And maybe you are one of the ones that have been busted.

it's not hard to do, it's impossible. it can not be done. the only thing you can do is harm reduction both to addicts and the public and the only way to do that (that is, the only method that has shown remarkable results as opposed to the dismal repeat offender rates usa has) is compassionate care for addicts along with legalization.

omg i'm beating this dead horse again -_- i need a life. you retarded, bible thumping, ignorant rednecks are never going to be able to understand anything but "praise the lord and pass the ammunition". it really is no wonder that wv and other southern states (really though guys we where with the north >_>) carry the negative stereotypes that they do.
