WV workers comp used to pay .25 cents a mile but shortly before Brickstreet was released upon us the rate was reducted to .15 a mile.At the price of gas today at .50 a mile would not pay for your cost.Brickstreet is a monopoly Sherman anti-trust act.Be sure to file on the class action law suite.

How does a company that is so far in debt, go from being in debt to making record profits in just 2 short years IF they have always followed the law? Profit was listed in today's daily mail. If you make a profit, great but at what cost to the working man and woman was this profit made?

WV is a crimeral interprise from the Supreme Court down to County Court system there are some mafia in black robes that should wear black masks because they have stolen justice from the working man in West Virgina. Now one crooked Judge is trying to cover up for the other crooked Judges e-mails so he will not go to prison. Now one honest Judge wants bring the other two to justice.Only problem is there is no justice in WV.

How is it that Brickstreet is a private company if they were started with tax~payer loans? It is not paid in full, yet they claim to be a private company. It seems they want to be private when it fits their needs. I am a claimant and have asked this question to them and they say "we are private we can do as we wish." How can that be if they were soley funded with tax payer dollars that have yet to be paid off? This company is a scam and needs to be investigated by the feds.

They were not funded "solely" with tax-payer funds. They were and still are primarily funded by policy-holder premiums, as are all insurance companies.

Ok, that is correct. However, they were loaned 200 million dollars in start up money, is that right, that they are making payments on? So wh owns the company, the tax-payers, the policy holders, a little of both?

The policy holders own it. It is an employers' mutual insurance company. Yes there was a loan that is being paid back ahead of schedule, but that does not constitute ownership by the State. If you loan your brother money, do you own your brother?

Points well taken, but my brother would have my best interest in mind, however, bricktreet does not. Brickstreet only seems to care about their bottom line not those who are honestly injured on the job. I understand it is a business, but not everyone is a cheat and not everyone is trying to rip them off. I feel like Brickstreet owns me, my family and my future.

Brickstreet is a bunch of crooks, they are only interested in cheating working men out of the monies owed to them.

Brickstreet is clearly out for themselves, Burton is bragging about how muck money they have in banks all over WVa. What about the claimants? Our bank accounts are empty, our credit cards are maxed out and we are broke. All the money Burton spends on advertising is probably what I am owed on my claim. Why does he have to advertise a company that has been a monopoly for the past 5 years?

It is not a monopoly anymore, effective July 1, 2008 other companies can sell coverage. Besides that, BrickStreet has only existed 2 1/2 years. Let's see what people think when their claims are handled by an out-of-state company and they have to deal with folks in Pittsburgh or New York or Chicago or India maybe.
