Yet another fire occurred at the Carroll Terrace Apartments, located at 1546 Kanawha Boulevard, East, on Thursday, October 16, 2014.

Apt. 1001 on the 10th floor partially burned down after water dripped directly into the kitchen electrical circuitry box from the apartment above. Apt. 1001 has been deemed currently inhabitable for any resident to live in.

The Charleston Fire Department has ordered a full investigation into the matter, to determine if charges will be filed against the Charleston-Kanawha Housing Authority, any of its employees, or any tenant for attempted arson or criminal gross negligence.

Details will follow as the case develops.

10/22/14: Carroll Terrace Apartment residents awoke during the early morning hours to discover NO HOT WATER (again!!) throughout the building. Hot water was finally restored around 4:00pm. Not one single emergency flyer or notice was placed anyway on the bulletin boards by the current property manager, Darelene Stokes, alerting tenants of the same.

The victim continues to be greatly disoriented and in major physical pain. He remains extremely fearful to call 911 or the CPD regarding the attack, or to go to the hospital to have his injuries cared for. Fellow residents have repeatedly pleaded for him to do so.
If this LATEST VICIOUS CRIME did occur on the 2nd floor hallway as the victim stated (or anywhere else inside the Carroll Terrace complex), it would be CLEARLY RECORDED by security video cameras located in the Carroll Terrace housing office which is maintained by Darlene Stokes, current Property Manager, and Dale Whitehair, current Security Manager.
Any resident or visitor who may have witnessed this LATEST VICIOUS ASSAULT on one of our senior-citizen tenants is urged to call '911' IMMEDIATELY, and to also provide any information directly to the Metro Charleston Police Department.

Carroll Terrace Apartments -- Apt. 1002 -- Vanessa Davis: That nasty, black female drunk and crack user has been screaming and yelling and cursing tenants out again all this weekend in her apartment and all up-and-down the 10th floor hallway. She still threatens to kill her lesbian and homeless KRT drug-partying friends inside her apartment when she turns violent many times.

She has been partying with several other new drunks and tenants in the building including someone named Patsy.

She still goes downstairs all the time either drunk or high on crack wearing only pajamas and slippers (and wearing no bra) screaming at tenants in the Community Center. Vanessa always invites trespassers and bums in the building to come party with her upstairs in her apartment.

Police are still being repeatedly called on her as she always waits for the property manager to leave and then she starts partying and screaming constantly.

ours here at carroll terrace usually break down because of the nasty public housing tenants and mental retards living here who don't take care of them. i think all of our washers and dryers are speed queen, and they are managed by jetz services. we can't buy our own because ckha won't allow us to have our own double stack washer/dryer units in our apartments.

CARROLL TERRACE: Dryer #13 has been down for several days now. An OUT OF ORDER sign has been placed on the same, however, it is not known if the current property manager has called in a work order request to the Jetz Services Company to repair the same.

11/10/14: The CPD has been repeatedly, quietly patrolling throughout the hallways of Carroll Terrace Apartments at random hours during the night-and-overnight hours!!

Also, four more police officers showed up earlier this evening in the main Lobby area around 6:00pm.
