The student that angry dad is defending ruined the graduation for several of us. My good friend, who was the one person after the jerk, did not even hear his name and his his family was really upset. It was his graduation too. Shame on u and the other adults who ruined his night!

First of all, let me correct big mouth dad and his daughter. The final rankings come out at the end of the 7th semester, which is in January. At that time, the idiot that showed himself at graduation was 2nd in his class. You can all debate that all you want. But it is true. He tried to browbeat the top graduate into showing him her gpa or rank. She was told she did not have to. The gaps were looked at by several qualified people. They were unaminous in the young lady WAS the valedictorian. The young man in question got his ranking at grad practice and I am sure he was furious. But, when it counted, which was after the 7th semester. He was NOT the top grad. He just couldn't take that. As far as big mouth dad and his daughter goes, they too need to learn the facts and not run their mouths when they do not know what they are talking about.

<quoted text>If you are going to call me out by name you should get your information straight before you insult someone in a public forum. First of all the student in question was protesting because at the end of the day he was the only student (other than the creator of the t-shirt) that was singled out and not allowed to give his speech at graduation. Second: The fact is that he had the highest GPA in the class. When the final calculations came out Mr. Giles and the administration did nothing to correct the rankings and give him his due respect. Finally I cheered for the student for exercising his right to speak his mind and protest the unfair treatment he received from Mr. Giles. You apparently know who I am....I invite you to step up and discuss any further issues about me and my family directly with me instead anonymously in a public forum……Respectfully Kenneth J Mobayed….AKA Big Mouth Dad
First, Mr. Mobayed, let me apologize for using the words "big mouth dad" those actually, weren't my words, but someone sitting behind you. I should not have repeated them. Think back, you may remember whom that was. But, your facts are wrong. The top graudate is determined at the end of the first semester of the senior year of the student. The student you speak of was not first at this time. This is a county-wide policy, not just Capital High's. Mr. Giles, nor any other administrator cannot change this. So the next time you cheer for a protestor at a commencement, just remember it is a commencement for "all" graduates not just one protestor. The only reason commencement was mentioned to begin with was in response to the Aunt from Hurricane's comments. As far as posting on a public forum, it is just as appropriate as cheering at a public commencement for uncalled for behavior. Post was intended to extend our continued support for our principal, that's all. We, at Capital have no desire to enter to a discussion with you.

Hard for me to respect a man who took out the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem for a day. I don't care what his excuse is, if the kids don't want to recognize either of those they can come see me and I'll gladly purchase for them a one way ticket out of this country. Let me catch my children ever acting like that, I'll make sure they are disciplined.
This is not even the norm for most schools especially high schools.

You are the first white person I have ever heard play the race card. Nice try, but the facts of the matter clearly tell a different story than your rendition. The Mobayed family are upstanding, TAX paying, respected people in this community. Unlike the majority of the ingrates that end everything with "izzle".
So is Mr. Giles an upstanding TAx paying, respected person in this community.

He must have changed a lot - he was very racist in the 90's - couldn't stand the white kids that he thought were grime average or above average homes. No one knows what goes on behind closed doors - so when he harassed kids - that did nothing to cause problems - simply because they were white - that's a racist in my book
Lying on them about things they never did and telling them they'd never amount to anything - that's abuse

Per news reports ...... CHARLESTON, W.Va.- Capital High School Principal Clinton Giles was back to work Monday after a three-day suspension.

Mark Milam, Kanawha County's assistant superintendent for high schools, confirmed that Giles was allowed to return to work Monday, but wouldn't discuss the details of his suspension, citing personnel rules.

He was still ranked first. And if you have something to say come say it to my face. You disrespect my family over something as stupid as Giles getting suspended. You don't know us and you don't know the story. So unless you can speak up for yourself and stop talking stuff unanimously you can keep your mouth shut and worry about yourself.

That so called "angry dad" isn't angry. He is sticking up for one of our childhood friends. That student asked the kid behind him if it was ok. And why are you all worrying about last year when he was suspended for this years events. Whether you like him or not he did something wrong and got punished. It was just a dumb little suspension. You all are overreacting and bringing people into this who did nothing wrong but cheer. So like I said to the other people, unless you can say this stuff about my family and friends to my face instead of unanamisly don't say it at all.

Please explain to me how I embarrassed myself? I'm not at all embarrassed? And I was definitely not the only one wearing the shirt that night. So if you one to say some more things about me I'm right down the road. Stop being a coward and saying stuff over a public forum and say it to my face.

If you all didn't have any desire to enter a discussion with my dad then you wouldn't have said anything about my family in the first place. Especially over a public forum and unanimously. You wouldn't be so happy to look on a public forum and see that some random coward was saying stuff about your family now would you? If you have something to say about me and my family then say it to our face. I appreciate your apology to my dad but what you said is already said. Plus it's on the Internet. It's never going away. It's a little too late for sorry.

One last thing, don't try to take back what you said and blame it on someone else. Whether you said it in the first place or not you still said it. I don't care about the person behind you. They didn't say it in a public forum. You did. They may not be your words but they came out of your mouth.
