I don't feel like getting into a war of words on this subject, but please, please stop saying drug addiction is a disease. Very few people including myself believes that non since. It is a lifestyle choice nothing more nothing less. Cancer is a disease. If you are diagnosed with cancer and the Dr tells you all it takes to get rid of it is to stop putting a needle in your arm and to stop stealing then I bet no one would have cancer anymore.
Well all Chase had to do was just that stop putting needles in his arm, but he chose to anyway, because he was a drug addict who as I said offered nothing to benefit society other than misery. We tax payers would have been supporting him for the next 50 years if he hadn't died.
Those are the facts and no they cannot be disputed.

Just how cold and cruel are you? You have no idea obviously who the Crater was. I hope he haunts your ass!

Then STOP glorifying drug addicts. They get what they deserve. I wonder whomever the last person he stole from would be as forgiving as you?
Your a moron. He stole money from me just weeks before his death but I forgive him because he was an extremely sick kid and I'd been his friend for years. Type 2 Diabetes is caused partially by not eating right and not exercising enough. Are you dumb enough to assert that diabetes isn't a disease either?? Just because bad lifestyle choices play a part in its development and progression, then it's not a disease?? Your a very, very stupid person. Period point blank.

It is a pity that someone in the family did not place a decent obituary in the Charleston newspapers for him. Only a very short, few sentences were put into the paper about his death. It does cost money to have obituaries printed in the newspaper. And perhaps his mother is too distraught to think of doing this task. God bless her. But I hope eventually that a nice obit. is printed in the paper for him.

First off, it IS in fact a disease! I am a licensed counselor. Second, get out you're dictionary before you get on here trying to sound like you have any level of intelligence!!!!! Until the addict knows how to live a clean life, it IS not just a lifestyle choice. Once they know better, then it becomes a choice!!! You obviously are not the smartest bulb on the tree. Addicts are human beings!! Drug addiction takes over the brain and you have to re train the brain otherwise!! You may want to do some research before you get on here TRYING to sound like a scholar!!!!!!

I knew and spent a lot of time with Chase when he attended Marshall University. He did drugs then and I considered him a great, smart, kind, and unique individual. I'm sorry you are so ignorant and unaware of addiction, not to mention hateful. I cannot believe you could post such am awful thing about this person you obviously never knew. Lucky for you, no one close to you has dealt with addiction because you would not say such things if thy was the case. I myself am also a heroin addict and in recovery from my disease. I don't care what you think you "know". Addiction is a chronic and sometimes deadly disease. It can be treated with things such as church and NA/AA. But left untreated symptoms get worse and will lead to death. Believe me, I have done many awful things during addiction, but I know I'm a good person at heart and would have never done those things if I hadn't had this addiction. You have absolutely no right to say these things and should fell awful. Chase was a good kid, RIP. So sorry for the loss to all his friends and family.

You are a sorry POS that has shown your intelligence! Dr's, professors and a whole variety of professionals have proven that addition is a choice initially , but becomes a disease in the brain function. Before you make anymore comments do research before you show your ignorance about addiction which you obviously know nothing about! And be careful about your comments because Karma is a bitch when it comes back to you with a loved one with the disease. And never say never will it happen to you!!

Well he was definitely a thief, a drug dealer, and a junkie. He also never got a decent obituary because no one has any money left to pay for one after his addiction likely emptied the funds of his family/enablers.

Listen I don't care who this offends but the world is better off without him. He was a no good drug addict who had nothing to offer society but misery. Drug addicts will steal and lie and do almost anything for their next high and Chase I am sure was no different. The way I see it there's one less person out there stealing and ripping others off. So in actuality his death is a good thing for society.

Michelle why did you take him away from my dad and disappear off the map when he was younger? Then instilled in his head his dad didnt care about him and never loved him. I think things would have been different if his father would have been in his life.
