As if you aren't paying enough taxes, you will start paying 6% SALES TAX on ALL your AMAZON purchases effective Oct 1.

You can thank Senator Mike Green and 100% of all the other WV Senators for this raping. You can thank 77% of all your House of Delegates for this raping.

***Thank them while you are driving down your local road that is FULL OF POT HOLES.
***Thank them while you see your taxes going to support welfare child breeders - knowing you can't hardly make your car payment to have transportation to go to work.
***Thank them while you fill up with one of the nations highest taxed gasolines.

GET THIS SCUM AND FILTH OUT OF OUR GOVERNMENT! Don't relect anyone who is currently in state office. Tell your senator you are SICK OF THEM. FB reposts of this are welcomed.

This is actually due to amazon having a brick and mortar customer service center in the state. Any business in the state selling goods must pay sales tax. This brought jobs to the state. I'm not entirely certain what your referring to in regards to our elected leadership. Being so socially concerned why not try purchasing goods from locally owned and operated establishments. Help your neighbor instead of annoying them with topix such as this.

I'd purchase goods from locally owned and operated establishments if they had the selection, service, prices and free delivery that Amazon offers.

This is just more taxes disguised as helping out the mom and pop stores.
Which it won't do because even if you add 6% to Amazon's prices, it's still better than having to go out and mingle with the slack jawed yokels in the stores around here.

Cry some more you f*cking tax dodgers.

If you don't like it, don't buy sh*t you don't need over the internet.

Your pouting around about it isn't going to undo it or make it go away.

Stop acting like a f*cking freeloader. Jeezus!!!

Isn't it thatnks to our Federal Government? The tax on Internet purchases from particular business is implemented if a business (such as Amazon) has a physical location within the state?

Hopefully Amazon will have the sense to close all of its operations in WV, to show these elected thieves it will not tolerate bilking people out of more money, to fill their criminal fat pockets!

U R dead wrong. There is no brick and mortar amazon service center in this state -- so WHY TELL LIES LIKE THAT??????????

FACT: This is due to Rockefeller, Manchin and Rahall putting pressure on your LOCAL Senators and Delegates to get his legislation passed. You remember Senator GREEN and his local business interests -- and you remember the pot holes you drive over every day while you support a bunch of drug addicted pill dealing child breeders. No wonder WV is last in the nation on everything.

Have you seen the picture of Senator Green parachuting with the Golden Angels? Do you have any IDEA how much that stunt costs the TAXPAYERS?
And this monster is representing you in Charleston ?

You better think again. Green needs to go.

It's in Huntington. It's a distribution center. Built with bricks, mortar and all....Your "Other Theories"....wrong as well.

Use google to find other on-line retailers that operate like amazon. check to see if they charge wv sales tax. If not, give them your business.

BTW: Amazon does not have a distribution center in Huntington, It is a call center.

A Call Center IS a Distribution Center. Calls are taken and ROUTED to where they need to be. A FULLFILLMENT Center is where the orders are pu8lled and fully processed.

This makes me so sick, so what's more important, filling their pockets, or a lot of people losing their jobs at Amazon's Call Center when it is closed, I wouldn't mind waiting an extra day or two for delivery as long as I didn't have to pay tax.

I've ordered from Amazon recent. It still wasn't that bad of a price because of the increase. I think some of you are taking it wrong. eBay raised their prices very high, etsy also! Go look it up. It's really high!!!
