I dropped my wife's iphone in her bath water on accident and it stopped working. Do we have to get a new one or will it start working later on? Are iphones like cell phones where they can dry out? If so how long do u think it take?

If you have a bag of rice put the phone in it, it draws the water out sometimes,, but not always!

the rice does not always work. my neice threw my phone in the toliet and then tried to flush it. once i got it out i took apart, used a blow dryer on it and then put it in rice, it actually continued to work for another year.

then i got a new phone, it got dropped in a puddle of water and it never worked again. even after i used the blow dryer and rice like i did before. i think its all just a matter of luck with that.

You may have to leave it in the rice for a few days. Left mine in for about a week, cause I figured it wouldn't work anyway...pulled it out and viola! It works again.

Rice takes alot longer than the alternative.$80 back to new!!! Unless you know how to disassemble & you can alcohol all the parts on it! Alcohol will revive a wet phone!!
