Aside from slavery which sucks balls and made no sense and should have never happened what could have been a confederate victory ain't looking too bad these days. People need to remember that most native americans fought for the south. They knew all about what DC really stands for. Power, corruption, greed I mean you pretty much name it. Life is meaningless. Values are meaningless. I wonder how many soldiers that fought for the north would be appalled by the way DC turned out? Clinton, Bush and Obama have done so much damage that it probably is not reversible. Eisenhower was the last good president.

Look at the civil war from an economic level of analysis. Males of European heritage were killed at the highest rate. Recall the Nativist Movement of the 1840's; business can be trifled with protest. These males tended to be more literate and owned independent businesses. Natives generally commanded higher wages. The civil war freed a whole sector of society (those in bondage, slaves) as an extremely cheap labor force. years after the war, this labor force coupled with a gradual migration from south to north, replacing at a cheaper cost the workforce lost in the civil war. Thus we entered the "Guilded Age" Accident? Put in place by the powers that be?

Lines 2 and 3 should say "business will not be trifled with protest."

Isn't it almost time for your march on the courthouse waving a Confederate flag with 1,000 armed men to smoke pot? When do we start?

seems Picket wanted his soldiers to die. Movies such as "Glory" glorify black regiments but truth is very few blacks died in the civil war. the industrialists who owned the factory wanted to kill the high wage earners, not the low wage earners. the historical forms of population control have been: famine, disease, and war. Wars will always be used by the elite as a form of population control unless a new method is developed. are the RH negative blood types killed as much?

Alex: it jibes perfectly. Crittenden wanted to prevent the war but the elite wanted war so his law was voted down.

International finance wanted the war. Seldom taught in school: during the US civil war France controlled Mexico (put a puppet Hapsburg on the throne) and Britain had an army in Canada. The US couldn't enforce the Monroe Doctrine at this time. They were waiting for the US to weaken itself then they were going to swoop in from north and south and return the US to colonial status. However, the Tsar was aware and put his navy in San Francisco. He said any attack on US by France or Britain would be a declaration of war. International finance hated the Tsar because he wouldn't allow a central bank. For this the bankers swore to destroy the Tsar. To this end, they financed Lenin. Trostsky was in New York just prior to the Commie Rev in Russia.

The point Freedom Lover is trying to make is this: slavery had nothing to do with the Civil War. Slavery was a minor dispute built up into a divide and conquer tactic employed by international finance(House of Rothschild) who was in control of the governments of both England and France. The only true power is who has the authority to print currency and charge interest on it. Today, the Federal Reserve (a privately held international corporation) runs the US. It is easy to get common people to attack others. All you have to do is portray the oppositions leadership as evil. Evil must be destroyed.

alex why do always act rebellious on this site then reject a simple idea

demagogue? or just trendy mainstream?

some people are searchers, searching for the truth; no matter how much effort is made to obscure it. read the allegory of the cave

you assume the causes of the civil war to be isolated to America. in truth, its causes form at the international level. to think any one nation in the modern world operates in a vacuum is folly. never underestimate the power of the US. Who ever controls it rules the world

And Alex, the civil war is considered the first modern war, closely monitored by many European leaders. Railroads, Gatling guns, photography, and many other elements were first used in the Civil War
