let's cross one bridge at a time- this specific bill had nothing in it that would keep guns from law abiding citizens. The entire goal is to prevent massive shootings- I have guns and enjoy shooting. I'm not a criminal so I don't have a problem with background checks
Wouldn't do you any good if you did have a problem. It is already on the books.

That's funny. Come and get em. They're loaded and you can get a nice view down the barrel when you show up. I'm willing to hand them over to the government if it means people will stop being shot/killed by others who aren't responsible enough to own or handle a gun.
Why is it that people with guns always like to make threats? And I quote you "They're loaded and you can get a nice view down the barrel when you show up". A big man you are! That's not what the 2Nd amendment is all about, you ignorant little man.

You can alsp convert a pressure cooker into a bomb. Its about personal responsibility and holding a criminal responsible not a inanimate object.
A gun is a little bit easier to use in injuring others than a pressure cooker bud. You can make bombs out of plenty of other things also. Yes, we should hold people responsible for using inanimate objects to hurt others, that's common sense. Thanks for nothing.

If a civilian shows up to take my guns, I would consider him a thief and it would be self defense against a criminal. Pointing my gun at an intruder in my own home isn't using it, you sorry sack of shit.

I'm sorry I guess I didn't really make my point. What I was trying to get across was that there are any number of ways to hurt and kill if that is your intent and I believe we need to focus on the personal responsibility of the individual and not the tool that he used. I also think laws are only going to be followed by law abiding citizens therefore the good guys will be left with no way to protect themselves from people who could care less what the gun laws are.

"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
Maybe I don't. Considering that was written in 1791 - & militias at that time were made up of volunteer citizens (primarily farmers, laborers, and landowners) serving only as called & with very little training and -of course- the amendment provided no further detail or clarification.... there's a lot of room for interpretation in that statement. I've heard arguments ranging from any gun law being considered an 'infringement' to the other extreme where only the 'militia'---which would now be the National Guard--- should have & need access to 'Arms'...(the latter I disagree with because of the use of the "a" in "A well regulated militia", as opposed to 'The' which would imply a national or federal militia). Legal scholars argue about every word in that statement, including the commas. So - enlighten us. What's it definitively mean? Tell us all what the Supreme Court says.
If posting my opinion makes me a 'poser troll'...so be it. Name-call away.
It means what it says "the people" "shall not be infringed"

see, I'll share a secrete with ya, its not about hunting and its not about home protection.

Using your arguments, we could take away free speech because we now have the internet, radio and TV.

The trolls always preach about the constitutional rights, except for the 2nd amendment. You know how to spot a troll, they always say "i own a gun, but.."

Believers are deceivers.

YHVH suspends mercy in response to god (government of deceivers) suspension of inalienable rights ( life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness) in the American Holocaust (Moral corruption, suspension of Habeas Corpus to avoid liabilities - Fraud - Terminal Injustice - Economic oppression - Murderbyproxy - Population Control - death fix it>deficit<). Those entrusted with protecting American Citizens by enforcing the laws of the United States Constitution and refusing to do so for personal gain is Treason / Terrorism. Terrorism begets terrorism. Government Officials achieving the National goal set in Executive Order 12871 reducing government (we the people) reducing government spending (no due process, no justice, no liabilities, just murder and mayhem through lie, delay and deny til you die tactics).

Cars are made to transport, hammers are made to hammer nails and pressure cookers are made to cook. Guns are made to kill. It is my opinion that a Moron knows the difference. NRA is just three letters that replaced KKK, if you are a member of the NRA, you might as well be a member of the KKK. The same mentality that made the KKK is now the mentality of the NRA.

Robert Byrd was in fact a member of the KKK, he was an active member for political purposes, at the time the KKK was a strong lobbying organization with approx. 4 Million members supporting political candidates that support their political views and agendas. Joe Manchin is in fact a member of the NRA, he is an active member for political purposes, the NRA is a strong lobbying organization with approx. 4 Million members supporting political candidates that support their political views and agendas. Sounds familiar?
