Again a bunch of uneducated puns on opinions that don't have any merit.

The Jails have an Internal Affairs department. You all think investigations are done in seconds. Wake the fk up! Secondly.

Inmates are there because of behavior that breaks the law. Let me repeat the word BREAK. They do not follow rules... the prison holds 500 to 600 dumarses because 500 to 600 fkups of society GET arrested!

Blame everyone else EXCEPT the people who have a habit of stupid choices! really!

Bottom line... Inmates can't be videoed taking craps or taking showers. IT IS AGAINST the inmates rights to be watched at that level UNLESS there is a legitimate reason for the specific inmate to BE videoed. ALL CELLS are the size of a walk in closet and have their toilets, bunk, and table inside.

If you have a problem with the current living conditions then you set up for these firs to be placed in your house to live under house arrest. There you go problem fixed!

The inmates fight... blame the inmates. Stop making excuses for the inmate population that are there because of making bad choices.

That is why I said State Police. It will be their call on what happened and the charges.

As far as the administrator goes I'm in no way a fan of his but if thirty people live together and one decides to kill another one there is nothing you can do.

And unless you build each individual inmate their own prison then incidents will occur from time to time. Like I mentioned before twenty years of existence housing felons and one murder is pretty impressive.

Now I'm sure you will respond with another generic outcry instead of disputing my points. I'm not sure if you just know you don't have an argument or if you lack reading comprehension skills"

You must know administrator and epling pretty good to defend them
Ok again.. I don't think you are even reading my posts. I didn't blame anything on any State Police. I simply explained to you that the State Police are the ones who are investigating the murder when you addressed the investigation taking a long time.

Your day care analogy is an apples to oranges type deal. Daycare murders are far less common than correctional facility murders and not many daycare facilities house 600 children 24 hours a day with ten to fourteen employees to watch them. And you did the whole generic outcry without addressing anything I said just as I predicted and for that..........I thank you

You are correct. The jails have an internal affairs department to determine if any suspensions or terminations take place. But the State police investigate seperately and decide what if any charges are to be filed. You are also dead on with the camera civil rights blame the right people argument

If I read this are you saying that the prison only works 10 to 14 officers for 600 prisoners? That means one officer has to take care of 60 prisoners by his self per day. Does epperly and that administrator guard these prisoners too? No wonder there are awful things like this murder going on there. Why don't you hire more officers? This system sounds like it don't work and needs more attention by internal affairs.

Well I understand why people won't work there. You make no money ,,, The state won't pay their employees ,,,, no chance to work extra. Not only are the prisoners hard to deal with , but the employees are so mean and abusive to each other,,, you should try being a prisoner there and see how bad it is.

No it's not either. Your just plain silly. Ask epperly and the administrator. Officers go thru that place like they have a swinging door. Wise up and wake up. You go wipe up body functions and see how long you stay

Well you must have been hiding out somewhere or asleep on the job and you must not know that jerk epperly that works there. Things were better for prisoners before he started there.. That's why that place is a mess, no one can do anything On time They need a new administrator and staff.

You are morally corrupt. A want of money, a lack internal constitution, call it what you want. IF enough people REFUSE to work for the system the system changes. SHAME ON YOU !!!!

Ok. I just know he is a jerk douch bag you cant go to tutors without them hanging there. and anytime you have as you said 600 people in jail and only as you said 10 officers its a bad thing. That woman that use to work in administrators office always kept things going good there for the prisoners. And things were better all the way around but these creepy dudes are a mess. Don't the state of wv have any educated people to clean it up rather than to cover it up? Did you get fired is that why you left there?

Epling is one of the few people who actually care about how the system is ran. I know when I worked at the jail, it was Epling who would openly confront supervisors who were not following the rules properly. I personally witnessed him defend several officers who were doing the job that the Regional Jail says through the Policies and Procedures.

In fact I will say, although I did not really get along with Sgt. Epling, he was the man who the inmates constantly sent requests too. AND he is really the only man I know that could walk into a situation in an inmate section and defuse the situation without pulling out a can of OC, or raising his voice.

9 times out of 10, the people who are bringing up names discrediting Epling are either current supervisors that don't do their jobs, or are scared that Sgt.Epling is more qualified than they are to do the job that is entailed through following policies and proceeders.

I worked in the Jail when then Cpl.Epling took over booking. I didn't like that he came in out of nowhere, but later I found out he really does know what he is doing. The sad truth is, even for me, I could not have started enjoying my job until it was Epling that walked into my pod one evening and told me how to do something. Then when a Sgt walked in the pod and tried to tell me to do it differently, Epling came down and confronted the Sgt. and the Sgt had nothing to respond back because Epling quoted policy. He then winked at me and finished by stating," That is why they pay me the little bucks." LoL

If everyone refuses to work there, then the environment gets worse not better. I miss the jail, but then again I went on and bettered myself and have a great job where I do not have to worry about getting urine thrown in my face for handing an inmate a tray.

You got to be kidding or crazy. I vote for the later. That place has been the butt of most of prisoners and co-workers jokes since he and that administrator came ,,, so what in the world was their bosses thinking by putting them there. And your right , he did come out of nowhere, but we see who his buddy's are. It's evident, just hang out at tutors for a little bit and listen to them. Amazing what goes on. " Little bucks ". You say !! So where do they all get the big bucks ? Just ask a prisoner they know everything. Believe me. Talk happens. And we notice everything. Why don't the people who really are in authority notice how things go on or are overlooked. W v needs real leadership from the top down.
