Really moron? Ever read a newspaper? Thousands had to been hospitalized, several deaths, and two babies burned by the chemicals because their dumbass mothers bathed them in the sink! Climb back under your rock inbred until you learn to read! Check with all the hospitals (if you even fuckin# know what that is) including CAMC-General and CAMC-Memorial in Charleston pecker head!
I'll bet every one of those situations was hysteria or prep work for a future lawsuit. Some people are always looking for the gravy train.

Possums, What this really is, is Hillbilly control. Yes it has been an effective way of controlling the population of the mutant WV inbreeds, Now just keep drinking the water and be quiet. Uncle Sam knows what's best. It's Possum Control at it's best. TaTa for now Lady of Quality ps you may laugh and think I am losing it, but think about this. If this had happened in Orlando Florida or Los Angeles or any other major area of the country, don't you think all hell would have broken loose and it would have been dealt with immediately? However it happened in an area known for poverty and ignorance and for the most part unknown,so who cares.

Fracking wastewater has been found to exceed the federal EPA's safe drinking water limits by up to 3,600 times, and exceeds the federal industrial discharge limits set by the Nuclear Regulatory Agency by more than 300 times.
WVDEP doesn't want the citizens of West Virginia to know this information. REMOVE THE WVDEP OFFICIALS FROM OFFICE.

Theres not been one death reported from this water. Its never been reported in the newspaper or anywhere else unless of course you're reading the national inquirer. And i reckon the charleston daily mail and the herald dispatch is in on the conspiracy? I just bet it was the russians from Sochi. Hell, it could've been the little grays even. And do you really believe the officials in this state have conspired for 70 yrs to keep toxic water a secret while allowing their own children to drink it?
Good God man.

Federal EPA is about to release a preliminary report on the toxicity of the State of West Virginia's entire public water supply from the top of the State to the bottom. More bad news is expected as water tested in ALL counties will CONFIRM that the entire WV State has been confirmed toxic for over 70 years.
If the water has been toxic for 70 yrs than why do we have the most geriatrics per population?
Must have something good in it.

If I am reading you correctly, most of the elderly have been drinking from a well or distilled water from a mountain stream.

People, wake up. Crap (literally) is in our water everyday! The only thing different here is it was picked up by the news media that a spill happened! Get over it. I bathe in it, I wash my clothes in it, I do my dishes in it. But I have never drank from the tap. I PURCHASE (do not ask for free water) bottled water every time I visit the grocery store. If you do not feel safe using the water, LEAVE. It has always been this way and it is not going to change. I am in my late fifties and I still have my health (knock on wood). Our water is, what it is. Get over it.

This is the 21st century. Most of those went when the outdoor shitters went. Most only use them for gardens and such. And the ones in the towns and cities are living just as long as those in the boonies.

WVDEP introduced Senate bill 243 which allows natural gas fracking companies to keep secret the long list of toxic chemicals being used during the hydraulic fracking process. Our WV Senate passed this bill on March 12, 2013.---- The new Senate Bill 373 exempts the fracking industry so they can't be held accountable for poisioning the water supply.
DOES ANYBODY SEE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?
The WVDEP is an agency by the people and for the people! So 'why' is our WVDEP introducing any 'bills' to keep secret the toxic chemicals being used during the ' fracking' of our natural gas?
The WVDEP officials need to be REMOVED FROM OFFICE!

Wrong. There are many states worse. And i'd bet ours is more attributed to drug usage than anything else. Not to mention alcoholism, heavy smoking and diet which contains to much dyes, additives and perservatives.

Stay away from this deadly State!
After learning recently that WV DEP has allowed a company to contaminate the water supply in the Fayette Plateau area, I am planning to leave the state.

I wish the media would have warned us that the water was contaminated after they learned about it in 2007, but they as well as the state government kept it a huge secret from the public.

Think of the lives they could have saved if they had warned us.

I found a website that has information on it if anyone is interested.

Uh, sorry to disappoint you! WV IS clearly the WORST with MISSISSIPPI ALWAYS running a near-tie SECOND place.
We're evidently reading different data sources. But even going by yours, does it imply its a result of our water as someone else posted or because of poverty (which entails all the above reasons i posted) and being the last two states in every other category as well.Never ever heard Mississippi was contaminated. At least not anymore than any other major river in this nation.

True, ONLY if it is PURE H2O without any chemicals! You know something is clearly wrong when you can SMELL ANYTHING in water!
All public drinking water has been treated with Chemicals. Chlorine for organic matter and Fluoride to impede tooth decay. It does have an after taste.

Tony, I concur with you whole hardily. I was bouncing off another comment. Pure Drinking Water without chemicals. No such animal in the Public Water System. There is good chemicals that protects the Public and there is harmful chemicals that is dangerous to Animal and Plant Life. The People of the Charleston area had a chemical spill of a chemical that is used to clean Coal which polluted your drinking water system, my River, the Guyandotte, is a regular dump site for these type chemical. We have been drinking this type of polluted water for years. The people of the Charleston area was lucky that the chemical in question had a smell that could be detected. People of the area should thank Mr. Gold for his persistence. The People of the area could have been ingesting this toxic chemical for years.
