Advice Appreciated

Bronx, NY

#1 Dec 27, 2012
Recently, a friend of mine approached me to borrow a significant amount of money. I have no problem if I'm assured of getting it back. I'm wanting to write up a legal contract to verify terms. Unfortunately, I'm not too educated on the topic. Anyone with previous experience that could post some suggestions to enable me to recoup my money in case of default, mainly by way of the contract being proper to where it stands in small claims court?

all you need is a written agreement between the two of you. it needs to state the amount being borrowed, the date borrowed, and the time it needs to be paid back by, also any payment arrangements that you agreed to. then the two of you go to a public notary, you two will sign the document and the notary will sign it as a witness. it is then a legal contract that will be upheld by any court.

this agreement can be typed up by you, does not have to be printed from a website or written by an lawyer.

you can find a notary any where and the fee is usually $20 or less.

What most people don't know is it is not legal for a notary to charge for the service!!

jodi christina is not really jodi christina... There is no one living in Kanawha City named jodi christina; I wondered why any mother would name their child "jodi christina" (unless she was drunk or she did it on a dare). Now I know. If he/she lives in Kanawha City, that is not his/her name. If that is his/her name (bless his/her heart IF it is), then he/she lives elsewhere. Whoever or whatever he/she is, wherever he/she is, he/she is lonely. I guess topix and jenn are the things that keep him/her going, and maybe we should all be grateful for that. After all is said and done, what harm is he/she really causing with his/her comments? None, really. Give him/her a break and the rest of you guys probably should just continue to engage him/her with your responses. Loneliness can be very painful for certain individuals; jodi christina is obviously one of those people. I'm sure he/she is appreciative, deep down inside, to have the attention from others on this forum. Maybe all this is a good thing, after all. LOL I hope he/she has a very Happy New Year and that the year 2013 brings him/her some true happiness (and perhaps a friend or two). Obesity should never stop a person from getting out amongst the rest of the world. One step at a time, jodi christina...:)

I know from seeing her being slammed in other forums that she is very controversial, but her answer about the contract is accurate.

And she is not someone I'll take up for but I don't understand your issue with the name. First, it probably isn't her real name. Most people don't post theirs here. Did you.? And if it is here real name she shouldn't be ashamed of it because she didn't pick it.

And if you two can't sign your names, two of these (X) will do as long as they are witnessed!

well jodi christina is my first and middle name so how would you know out of the 8000 plus people living there that i do not exist? do you know everyone living in Kanawha City? i didnt think so.

why are so you concerened with where people live?

you call me lonley, obsessed, attention seeker, ect... but it appears you are also looking for attention to come to this forum and not comment about the question but to comment about me. you also seem to be a little obsessed as well to remember that over 2 months ago i commented on one post saying that i live in Kanawha City because the topix police was so damn concerned about me staying in my own city and states forums!! are you getting upset because you can't find out information about me to post it on here and try to embarrass me? lmfao..oh well keep trying

so go on preaching and not praticing what you are preaching!

besides i know i am right about the forum except for the notary charge. a notary public can not charge more than the state allowance which is $2.00 so to the orinigal poster, the notary is only allowed to charge $2.00 or less!

With a reputation like she has, why would she name her child a name that represents the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit? GIVE ME A BREAK!

That's absolutely correct---the name is fake. You catch on fast! I like the name Lola; reminds me of one of my favorite pizza places!
