I've never gotten into the Harry Potter thing. I know that a lot of Christian folks get upset about it, but I'm just not interested in that type of thing.

I would have no problem with my children or grandchildren reading or watching it. I am sure that the environment they are brought up in and the beliefs they are exposed to will prevail over fantasy.

Exactly. Some people are critical of me because I enjoy rock & roll, and country. You might not believe this but some of the best messages I have ever delivered were inspired by country music.

By country I mean, George Jones, Patsy Cline etc....

That's real country :-)

I never did let the kids read Harry Potter - because I didn't care for the animal sacrifice in the first one. But when they are older if they want to read it, that is up to them. But, what I don't like about the entire thing is that while I watch what my kids read or watch - parents who say it is okay send in the DVD to the school so all the kids can watch it. The school knew that some parents didn't want the kids watching it but did so anyway. I just don't like having things forced on my kids by others who say it is okay if I don't think it is okay. I do not force anyone to believe like I do, read what I read, or watch what I watch. I teach my kids the beliefs I have and let them decide for themselves. As for my kids, some things that others may think is awful I may let them do. Each thing is different. As for the music, the only time I ever say anything is if it is a lot of profanity. I don't believe in censorship but I do believe that a parent has a right to pass on their beliefs to their children and try to teach them what they think is right or wrong. As I said, when the kids are older, if they want to read it, fine. I just won't be the one buying it for them.

As John knows, I'm a U2 gal myself. They have a message for me. And Bono works for the starving and underpriviledged people of the world. He really believes in it.

Love the Conway, Waylon, Loretta, etc. Today's "new" country sounds more like pop or soft rock rather than country.

Well, wouldn't you know it. We might not have a convoy but we got some real country music fans. I have a great collection of oldies. Here is a little something to set the mood.

Bill Anderson - I wonder if God likes country music?

Look up the song "On the Wings Of Mommas Prayers" by Jeff Bates. He sounds like Conway and it's a beautiful song. Either of them coulda talked to me anyday!

Bill Anderson is at the Braxton County Fair tonight. The performance is included with the price of admission. I am busy canning so I couldn't make it. He is great.

This will simply move you to amazing heights.K. D. Lang sings 'Hallelujah'. I don't think I have ever heard a singer with a greater range of vocals. Sit back and enjoy........
