I just found out this week that I made the class. Everyone I have talked to says it is VERY hard. But well worth it. I have no idea about the clinical rotations.

I Graduated from the program About 7 years ago. It was hard for me. Had to study for hours every evening. There is alot to learn in 1 year. You will learn alot more than at other lpn programs. I know alot of nurses who weren't taught what they needed to know elsewhere. Just work hard. Your heart has to be in it and you will do fine. If you don't take it seriously you will not make it. Less than 1/2 of the class i started with made it. Good luck future nurses!!!

I can tell you I did the LPN-BSN through Mountain State and I highly recommend it...... To me the LPN program was harder than the RN part. Garnet has a new director, Tresea Reynolds and she was acutually my clinical instructor in the RN program...She is awesome and I am sure alot of things have changed for the better at Garnet....good luck to you all just study study study, half of the people that get in drop out the first week....

Congratulations! Now get your RN. I graduated from Garnet in 1983 and then finished at UC in 1988. Garnet was definitely harder. Don't wait too long, the bigger paycheck is worth it!!

Mountain State lost their accreditation for all of their BSN programs. I encourage you to go further in your nursing career but do some investigating before you choose which school you attend.

Garnet is a really good school. It might seem harder - but the instructors there are very thorough and actually care They make sure that you learn all that you need to know so that you will do a great job when you continue with your education and/or on your career path.
Be positive - work hard - you'll do great
