I agree, Good Shepherd is a good choice. My LO loved it there, and asks to go back all the time. Breakfast, lunch, and snack is served. Every day at the end of the day they put a little note on each child's cubby so you always know how the day went. They accept Connect, and if you don't need it the prices are still very reasonable. :)

Hattie's Heavenly Hands in South Charleston is AWESOME!! My kids have been going there for about 9 years. It's a small family run daycare and the staff are great.

Stay away from Friendly Faces, the workers there let the kids hit on one another. When the directors are notified of the bad childrens behavior they take up for those children. One of the directors dresses like a two dollar hooker. Her choice of outfit is not for that profession.

Run away from ft hill branch on quarrier street. They have a biter that bit my friend's kid 9 times in two months. Also lots of other kids have been bitten by the same kid. The directors say they are working with the child and will not remove him. So guess what....the biter is still there and the kids who've been bitten are leaving.

I've worked in daycare all my life and moved on to get a degree and working towards owning my own child care facility and the truth is some kids go thru that biting phase really bad but it's normal. What I do find weird is why the workers ar not watching close enough and since this child is a biter you would think that they would make it a point to keep a close eye on them smh

Stay far away from South Charleston Enrichment Center! Director is a capital Bi+ch! owner has her husband who has sexual assault charges on him in & out of there! Teacher suck & their mean to the kids! It's dirty ! You pay for the food program but them they send kids to Stonewall to eat for free, so sounds like their stealing money to me!! Save yourself time & trouble don't go there!

Keep away from SCEC! Poorly ran daycare bad/uneducated unfriendly teachers
Director is a snob when asked questions or when you take your concerns to her , she never follows through with the problems parents have there! Not recommended by this parent of four

Last week they let a 3 year old boy "wander" from the property. He was found at the MU Graduate school...then they LIED to police & parents about the kid not having left the property.

I wouldn't trust them to watch my dog, much less my child!!

SCEC should be shut down. They didnt even bother to tell the 4 year olds parents what had happened. The SC police dept called the parents after the father had picked the child up. The director is crazy, has no business working in a daycare. SCEC will also employ drug addicts. Scary place for kids.

The story that was on the news wasn't the full story. You only heard what the patents said/ news and are so quick to assume that version is the complete truth. SCEC has new teachers and employees. They are trying to improve the daycare and pre-k program as we speak! That situation should've never happened and new policies have been put into place. Things happen in daycare facilities and schools all the time. It just doesn't get covered by the media. The food you pay for is cooked in the center and provided to children there. I'm not sure what the comment about stonewall is about. My daughter is 18 months and I feel she is safe at SCEC.

Your daughters only 18 months she can't get up and walk around and get out the facility ! Your blind to the facts that are that place and always will be that place!
Give it time SCEC will disappoint you too! Stay clear -
