Let me see if I have this straight...a man is being threatened with Gestapo-like tactics because he will not surrender his flesh and blood to some reproductively-dysfunctional interlopers who demand this man's child so they can raise it as their own. This is America, isn't it?

The adoption industry is a multi- billion dollar industry. A product (Veronica) was sold to the infertile prospective adoptive couple and the industry will pay good money to demonize Veronica's father so that other prospective buyers will not get nervous.

Veronica has a loving father and should not be sold to that greedy adoptive couple. There are children who really need homes in this country, but the Capobiancos want what they bought and paid for.

Veronica will most likely be returned to the genetic strangers who bought her. Some day when she can verbalize all that she lost people will call her a "bitter, ungrateful adoptee". I don't expect warm and fuzzy Holidays at the Capobiancos when she learns the truth that she was not a child who needed a home, but a child that her infertile aparents needed to make their home.

hello "lewis"...is your comment a reflection of your opinion on the issue of the adoption industry, a response to my comment, or a self-assessment of your intellectual faculties?

I am sure that if the forces who seek to abduct this child from her father prevail, she will grow up to be as unpleasant as her step parents.
