Here’s what I mean:

On TV they were interviewing a jobless couple whose house was in foreclosure. On the driveway was a Nissan. I shouted,“Guys, Japanese are bowing at you for their jobs.”

Ugh! Jobless Americans driving foreign cars.....putting even more Americans out of work!

The reality: the Japanese have been luring us for years. They give their vehicles American names. Our media give them free advertising. And they flood us with seductive ads. So no wonder we’re duped.

As to quality, see the March ‘09 J.D. Power report: For reliability, Buick is No. 1, and Lincoln & Mercury are in top 5. Today, differences between Japanese and American, exist only in persons' minds influenced by media who tout Japanese cars. Most media are BIASED.

For years they have been touting Japanese cars and panning American ones. Japanese dealers say:“Consumer Reports says, Edmunds says.” FOR FREE, these publications help sell MILLIONS of Japanese cars. Yes, media’s over the years constant bashing of the Big 3 has made it a nightmare for them to compete with the Japanese. And because our automakers are such a major part of our economy, this costs us JOBS, JOBS, JOBS, especially NOW!

But the Japanese say,“We give America jobs. We build cars here and hire Americans to build them.”

So, they assemble SOME here. The idea is to make people think,“Since they’re built here, they’re American.” HOGWASH! They’re still Japanese!

And here’s more reality: MOST Japanese vehicles sold here are shipped from Japan by boat.

But no matter where they’re built or their parts come from, what really matters is where profits go. FACT: every year Japanese parent-corporations in Japan reap BILLIONS from vehicles sold in America. Yes, 31% of their income comes from the U.S.(see Google) These billions help Japan, NOT America!

We’re Japan’s cash cow! This, despite we have almost 50 million people with no health care, 37 million in poverty, 12 million kids hungry each day, 77,000 bridges needing rebuilding, highways crumbling, inner-city schools deteriorating, and unemployment the highest in 26 years.

Considering those facts we feed Japan? Can we build and sell cars in Japan? Nope! In ‘08 they bought a measly 10,000 of ours. But they sold us 3 MILLION!!! Square shooters, NOT!

They’ve even refused to buy apples from us! They’re fiercely loyal to their own products. In effect, they close their market to us. But they FEAST on America!

And, BTW, the South Koreans are also parasites on our economy. They sell us 800,000 cars a year but buy only 6,000 of ours.

At least the Germans, who build and sell cars here, buy lots of ours. So do the French, Spanish, Italians, British, Chinese, and South Americans. Yes, we build and sell cars almost everywhere but in Japan and South Korea.

Another bummer: Many GM, Ford, and Chrysler dealers also sell Japanese cars. So, they don’t do what would sell many more American cars, that is, push:“DRIVE AMERICAN!” This would put a lot of Americans back to work.

Anyway, it’s estimated from “FOREIGN-CAR-I-TIS,” we’ve already lost a million jobs. And if we continue blind to this, estimates say up to 3 million more jobs will be lost. And some predict with trickle down it could be 4 million.

As to the 375,000 or so jobs we get from foreigners to assemble vehicles, well, if from that we lose 3-4 million jobs, that’s OK?

And now with U.S. backing, GM and Chrysler are becoming better, stronger. Even so, the Japanese and Koreans are circling vultures hoping to devour our auto industry. Shall we help them by not supporting our own companies?

NO! NO! Let’s back the new GM and Chrysler, as well as Ford, which on its own is strengthening. For two months now, Ford has outsold Toyota. Finally, we’re smelling the Japanese manure!

Support America’s economy! DRIVE AMERICAN!

P.S. Please pass this message on!

If an American company made a decent, inexpensive, and reliable car they would not be bankrupt and taking welfare checks from the government. Plus you forget the fact that most “foreign” cars are made right here in these United States.

Bill,

You didn't read my post, or designedly you ignore the following:
____

So, they assemble SOME here. The idea is to make people think,“Since they’re built here, they’re American.” HOGWASH! They’re still Japanese!

And here’s more reality: MOST Japanese vehicles sold here are shipped from Japan by boat.
______

You sound like a typical Japanese car salesperson. We hear words like yours in Japanese dealer show-rooms. That how they sell: with scare tactics...buy foreign or your car will fall apart.

That's unethical and unconscionable.

In any case, you're a fan of Japan.

So, kindly keep in mind:

JAPAN AIRLINES IS READY WHEN YOU ARE! They have some darn good one-way fares.

I am not a japanese car salesman. But I own Toyota and would continue to do so until the American autos can compare to be equal to them in quality.

GM and Chrysler are excepting govt handouts but they have failed to try and meet with the needs of todays economy as well. Example. GM still building those large Hummers. When gas prices go to 4 dollars a gallon how many are going to be buying these big cars. They should have been building more for mileage and quality than size and power.

I have seen a large GM Suburban for sale as soon as gas hit 4.00 a gallon. It's still for sale a year later at 2K less and still sitting in the driveway. Its a nice looking vehicle but I wonde why they are having a time selling it.

By the way. I am 57. I have owned my Toyota Pickup for six years now. Figure I will still be driving it 15 years from now. Barring no one crashes into it.

My last toyota I drove it 17 years. Had 180K on it. Still purred like a kittin

Why do you support stealing money from the productive to give to the unproductive and incompetent? I noticed you ignored that.

Boy this iluvAmerica chick is a real piece of brain-damaged, partisan work.

She does this same moronic schtick over and over with different titles on different blogs. Just do a google search for iluvAmerica and you'll find them.

I busted her for her lies and propaganda on the following thread.

And of course she cut and ran away when she couldn't defend herself.

Here's the thread link: http://www.topix.com/forum/city/oak-forest-il ...

Trust me ... it's worth a good read!

Daily Horoscope for December 3

Capricorn

With dark Pluto under pressure in your sign, this rather grave mood has been colored by the current state of a relationship. It isn't going as well as you would like, probably because you're feeling distanced. It's an inward-looking phase, full of obstructions, but best not to worry about things that might never happen, nor to stew about problems that are little more than ancient history. It's the festive season, so raise the cup of kindness and help those less fortunate than yourself.
