Chief Rusty Thomas submits letter of resignation

Riley should turn his in. He is responsible for all the negilence also. Damm tyrants. People need to put their foot down and use the other to kick this little guys butt out of office.

I believe it has to be eating Major Joe badly to have this report out today. He didn't want to do it originally but I think he kind of felt there was no way out of it.

I have said before that I think Rusty might be a very nice guy, but nice don't always mean he is the best.

I have said that everything always rests at the top and Rusty was the boss and it was his responsibility to make sure his firefighters were properly equiped, such as wearing proper uniforms that werent the type to melt on a persons body, to be properly equiped as in equipment, to be properly trained, to be updated in fire fighting techniques, etc.

He resigned and Major Joe is saying he had thought this out possibly before the report even came out. The report had nothing to do with his retirement.

I look at it as it's easier to retire than to get to the point he could be fired. Though Riley seems to have a man love for him.

If Rusty tried to get the proper equipment and the city didn't go along with it, I can't blame him for that. Then again I don't know if he did. It seemed to me I kept hearing he didnt want to change from the ways they did things in the past.

Sounds like a dinasaur.

I think Rusty made it easy on Major Joe. He probably did what should be done, and what major Joe probably wouldnt do.

Even if it will probably be better for the city.

I heard one of Rustys fire fighter friends talking about how great a person and friend he is. But even his friend stated that there are problems inside the fire department he wasn't getting done.
