Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum pick up 2 CMA awards; Darius Rucker wins new artist

Darius Rucker became the first black singer to win new artist of the year at the Country Music Association Awards , joining Charley Pride as the only African-American to win a major individual award, while Taylor Swift won two awards, including album of the year.

So, did you expect a rapper to win an award at the Country Music Awards? I was hoping some country singer would interupt Darious, but then I realized that they actually have courtesy, manners, and respect for their fellow artists, not to do that. True, I stand corrected about the awards ceremony. Rap is not music though, they would be better off banging on drums and clacking thier tounges to the roof of their mouths like their boon ancestor.

Darius is a very well to do man, successful, talented, and educated, don't see that too often in the AA's of today. This man is not black, he is as white as they come, that REALLY REALLY REALLY dark tan does not fool me.

I call for an emergency meeting of the white race so we can vote this man white. Its a shame to call him black.

I wouldn't go as far as saying blacks don't succeed in the music industry.There are many great black artist out there.I'm not calling you a hater and yes Darius is great.LET HER CRY is one of my favorite songs by Hootie.I think rap music is disgusting,but I will say my son is a huge fan of DMX.His music did grab me.I like all the old time do/bop,we were raised on that music along with country and oldie but goodies.I'm glad Darius won he deserved it.Kanya West is just rude and ignorant.I do not look at him as a entertainer of anything.So I won't let him sway me away from music that I like performed from other black artist.
