Should the government pay for Bradley Manning's gender reassignment surgery?

Well that's a clever move. I've known many transsexuals on public assistance (SSI), but it doesn't pay for their surgery. I think only their hormones and doctor bills, but no surgery.

I am sure that will be many fellow inmates of Manning who will be more than willing to perform a major part of that surgery for free.
