I am from northern Louisiana about 2 hours away from Charleston, MS and people aren't still "living the Civil War" here. People from rural areas here also think that segregation in the 21st century is extreme.

Some towns are small and slow and unencumbered by progress. We move to cities for fast pace and concrete :/
