People I know both of these indivduals and they were the best of friends. This was a terrible tragedy and everyone involved is trying to cope and be strong for the surviving parties. The fact that some of you have taken this to the politcal range is very disappointing. Fungo, I do not agree with your statements but you are entitled to your opinion, but as a human being, please try to show some respect.

I am so sorry for Keith's wife and kids. Keith worked for me for several years. I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

I worked with Keith for a couple years. He was a great father and friend. He will be sorely missed and well-remembered by everyone that knew him.

He is correct, it is an American Tradition. How do you think people in this country got food to eat back when there was not a grocery store? How do you think some people EVEN today use this as a way to eat and make it in the world! I am not a hunter myself, but I have family friends that do hunt and that is how THEY survive. IF that is not how you want to see it don't go around "making fun" or making them seem as they are less then what they are just because they are trying to survive or do something that they enjoy doing.
.... Fast forward to present, no one must hunt to eat. This is no longer an American Tradition. What a lame excuse to justify killing animals for no reason. I wonder if this American tradition helps ease the pain for families that suffered the death of a loved one, at the hands of you jerks. Why dont you gun lovers get some real balls and hunt each other. Clean up the gene pool

Please pay respect to Keith and his wife, kids, relatives, and friends. He was not only a great father, but also served our country so people can wake up everyday and practice "the freedom of speech". Please speak out your political statements to the proper forum.

Sloppy and irresponsible. The person should be charged with unintentional manslaughter.

Reference Statement from Local News:

"A spokeswoman for the state Department of Game and Inland Fisheries said no charges have been filed in the matter and that an investigation is continuing.

Reporter said Keith had finished hunting with another man and a 14-year-old on private property near the intersection of Barretts Road and state Route 5 when a shotgun used by the other adult, the uncle of the youngster, discharged. The shooting occurred about 1:30 p.m. as the three stood near a vehicle after finishing hunting for the day."

Keith was a fantastic person. He is really going to be missed. I am angry that someone could be so careless with a gun. My heart goes out to Keith's family.
