Makes one wonder what she was thinking or not thinking about.

But then again it did say Wayne county. That's close to Missouri, right?

Some states charge people for the rescue when they go around barriers--maybe that is a thought for Iowa.

Shhh... don't say that too loud or all the squawkers will show up and complain about all the new laws and about how enforcing new laws just allows the real criminals to get away. But I agree with you 100%.

Arizona has a stupid motorist law for things like this. They have to pay for the rescue and are fined.

Last I checked, Henry County isn't that far away. After all, you all still play with horses and 70 year old farm machinery every fall at your fairgrounds.

As Bill Engvall would say...'Here's your sign." So many people out there get behind the wheel of a car and lose all common sense. She should get a bill for her rescue since it was just a completely stupid decision on her part to drive past the barriers and into the water.

I am not a lover of fines....but she should get fined for beind a idiot that went around the barrier...she should also have to pay for the people that rescured her and for the servie. If your an idiot you should pay!!!!

Sorry, not from Henry county a little farther north. But the rest of the statement is true of Mt Pleasant. I am hoping to get there this year to see about all the fun they have.
