This is a sad situation that could have been avoided. The child was wrong for what he did. The parents of the children who where shot are just as much to blame, why, because you knew your children where bullies. you ask, how is this, well just by the way they act during every day life. When little Johnnie belittles the other kids on his baseball team because they missed the ball. because little Lisa talks down to the other little girls are so ugly because her clothes ase so much better are more expensive than theres. They learned this from YOU, yes, they watch mommy and daddy act badly and think its OK. So, tonight when you look in the mirror you can tell yourselfs what a great job YOU did raising your little bullies. Reap what you sow.
Teasing is NOT bullying and even so- unless he was being physically threatened, there's no excuse. If he thinks high school was tough, he's really in for it now. Life is tough, get a helmet. I do not condone bullying by any means but if that's all it takes to make you snap out like that then you don't deserve to be a free citizen anyway. And how dare you pass judgment on those kids when you don't know all the details, one of them might have been caught in the crossfire. Point being, its the shooter's fault and I hope he gets 25 to life.

<quoted text>BRAVO!!! i so agree with you!!! from what i hear this child was bullied and tortured on a daily basis.he had NO PLACE where he could go and escape. im sure he just snapped. he just wanted to shut the bullies up. i feel for the families that lost a child. and i wonder why the teachers didnt step up and try to make it stop.they had to know it was going on. i guess since he came from a poorer family,(and no one would get any special recognition if they done something nice for him) he was just tossed to the wolfs....DISGUSTING!!!
There are plenty of other options. After school programs, free community sports and music groups. His family failed him if anyone did. It's obvious his parents were scum and in that aspect I feel sorry for him but that is completely snuffed out by his actions. There are plenty of successful, contributing members of society that went through more unimaginable hell than this kid and come out alright. Not an excuse, sorry but he was a weak coward in the end.

white kids shooting up schools...again. i really don't understand it. are these kids unsuspecting? is that it? no metal detectors in these suburban schools maybe? no need to be cautious because "we don't have those problems where we live?" the craziness is everywhere. People like bill o'reilly, sean hannity, opie and anthony, michael savage go ape shyt when it's minorities and violence and have a field day, but when it's addressing white kids acting as assassins, they either don't say much, or report it with sympathy. i want to see the same hatred in their eyes for these "thugs" that shoot up schools. what's good for the goose is good for the gander, the truth is , ALL young people in this country, no matter their ethnicity, have issues with being troubled (for those who are troubled), that needs to be the focus. not screaming and saying "see, i told you so" about one group and taking an entirely different approach with another. i'm white myself, but have noticed this response reaction difference since columbine set the precedent for school killings and the attention that this horrible issue gets from those bigots out there who look only one way down a two way street. it's a very sad, sad situation and it's heartbreaking. what do you think? so we stereotype minority kids and say they use drugs (although white kids use them more than anyone) or sell drugs, knife people, and the white kids shoot up schools?

Actually, even if she was an "ex" in this life, she'll be his slave in the afterlife, so she won't be "ex" for long.

It's easy to talk about all those option when you have the benefit of adulthood.

Those years are behind you know. When your 15, the future seems impossibly far away.

How dare you judge those of us who feel for what this kid was going through?

Change your username, it's disrespectful. All your examples had no relationship with Jesus Christ thus the evil deeds they committed confirms just that. Kicking God out of schools brought murder and statutory rape in the doors. Now, troubled kids looking for a mental boost is denied "Thou shall not kill" & "Love thy neighbor" but yet given Islam and Homosexuality to read.

Not a single person with any first or even second hand knowledge of the circumstances surrounding this tradgedy commenting here, only trolls and folks w/ their own ax to grind. My post is for those of you commenting about the bullies perhaps deserving their fate- WOW, if you have been scarred by your treatment by others in your past to this conclusion, you are really harboring some major anger and need some help your self, anger management, psychiatrist, psycol ogist, counselor,or at the very least an unburdening to a trusted friend or family member. Oh, and by the way the newest reports are that the victims were random (unknown to the shooter) and that the shootings were born of mental illness (probably schitzophrenia)and not from bullying at all.

Someone help me here. I keep seeing that T.J. Lane was bullied but I'm not finding any evidence for this on the web thus far. All I can find is that he chose his victims randomly..that he was a good kid and that the victims were all good kids..and that one of the guys at the table had dated his ex girlfriend or something like that...Nevertheless....SAD SAD SAD...All those poor families...whos children will never walk through the door again.

Just thought you should all know that at court today, T.J. admitted that there were NO DRUGS OR BULLYING involved but said he chose his victims, "at random". People really need to get the facts before continuing to spread rumors. This is a tragedy and instead of arguing and spreading more hatred, perhaps you should all just send positive thoughts/prayers to the families and this community. For those wondering, I live 3 minutes from the school. I however, am not going to believe rumor, but facts from the people who were actually there or involved. No one except them know the true story so I think people need to calm down. Maybe these things would stop happening if the spread of hate would stop and people respected one another more. My heart breaks for all touched by this tragedy including the shooter and his family and it breaks more every time I see grown people bickering about the causes.

I agree completely. I watched the initial hearing on television this afternoon, and they verified his victims were totally random. The girl he shot while fleeing was also a random target, not his girlfriend. This was not a revenge killing, at this point his motivation is simply not clear. A lot of people jumped to the conclusion that he was constantly bullied, but that remains to be seen. In the meantime, I'm just waiting for the police report and additional information to surface, which will take some time to correlate. My condolences to all who were hurt by this mindless tragedy.

No problem EricaTN. I figured I should shed some light and maybe defuse some of these arguments.

As someone who knows a great deal about the right wing in America, I must agree with you.

The far right tries to make the Columbine shooters out to be Jewish (which in their view isn't white no matter how much European hertiage they have), or in the case of McVeigh, they make him out to be a patsy.

The whole time this is going on, they react to minority crime as if it's the end of the world.

To me that makes it worse. He shot students who were completely innocent. If there was no bullying involved, why did it seem like he went after a certain person when he went to room 200?

Stop the bullying. End the abuse these kids are forced to endure and the violence will stop.

I'm not commenting on what is worse or what. People lost their lives and others are on here bickering about the motivation. That's what my post was concerning.
