Review: Pioneer Waterland & Dry Fun

We went here in 2009 and found that most of the pool had been blocked off with PVC pipe and black netting. When we asked why, we were told it was because of insurance issues.
During our previous visit in 2005, all this was open. Maybe their insurance rep would not have made them cut down the swimming area if they would make a rule of so many adults per children ratio. There were many day camps and summer schools there that day with few adults to watch over 20+ kids per group. Now that's a drowning or 2 waiting to happen!

I have been going to pioneer since 1998 and thier lifeguards win national titles EVERY year.No children would ever reach that deep end of the pool anyway. You have no idea what you are talking about.Pioneer waterland is a very safe family environment that people can go to without the worry of getting hurt. You dont see parks like that anymore, and they work very hard to keep it that way.

We went there today and were very shocked to see 60% of the pool blocked off the 13 ft are i was told the INS was too expensive and there were incidents and only (1) life guard to watch over that area so they closed it off
