And we have supported his sorry butt all this time at the taxpayers expense. Grant him his wish and lets execute him tomorrow. Since he is willing someone will volunteer to do it for free.

I just don't get it. Why when a murderer continues to appeal his death sentence people want to hang him? Then, when one requests to die people want him to suffer in prison. geez!

If you really want to make him suffer, you will give him Life in prison. It is much harsher punishment and cheaper than the death penalty. I know it is true because I heard it on NPR.

Part of his plea deal for the original conviction called for Life in Prison, not death. That can't simply be reversed because he says he wants to die. And they "people" you refer to is only one PERSON (singular) who wants him to be continue his life sentance.

the death penalty would be expensive, especially at his age. the are a lot of automatic appeals. just give him a nice new sheet for his bed and leave him alone to get a good night's sleep.

I don't think the term "serial killer" is appropriate this guy killed for money. Serial Killers kill because it gives them some kind of perverse pleasure or other mental stimuli. I really like how journalist use any phrase they like without researching what it really is.

I dont understand how it can be cheaper to keep somebody in prison as upposed to killing them.

Maybe we should put his parents to death for having no creativity... naming their kid Edward Edwards. Thats the real crime.

Although it cost the taxpayers serving life has apparently got next to him and he wants to bail
Yes we all can b*t*h > about our tax $$$ but until we walk in the family & loved one's shoes we'll never know that feeling
however I agree life in prison is more harsh let him meet his maker the natural way .

Since he wants to die, this time leave him in jail and not get what he wants and let him die in that jail

Education is your key source when it comes to the cost of executing a man that's been sentences in prison for who knows when , he will have to repeat his court appearances probably jury it will go on forever and change to death penalty .
do you have any idea what this would cost the tax payers ??? for all the killings he done . I agree with most life would be more harsh it appears to be on his conscience what he done let him suffer and the prison life will do him in . Think about it and the system how it works .
